I recently did an unranked to gm challenge since I saw a streamer doing it and I said “what the heck”. The game unconsciously became so team based that it was actually relatively hard to hit GM and it took WAY longer than it normally does. I ended up thinking about it and essentially the conclusion I came to, was that the game became very hard to carry as a single person who was better than their team because it became extremely reliant on the team. The problem with this is, the people stuck in diamond, plat etc most likely won’t understand how to do X in a team fight besides shooting (dps POV), in a lot of cases I found that shooting tanks with my team on tracer was vastly superior to killing both supports in lower elo of course. This concept is completely crazy because the game is legit not the same anymore when you span it out over ranks. Ya can’t win with frags anymore because of how strong tanks are currently, they are dps with more hp.
Hard to get people to care about the plight of someone willing to stomp on others for the fun of it
As they should be in a class based shooter.
I miss any "Tanks from FPS games"?
If anything, the more Tank players you get, the less “Tank Diff” will be a problem.

Correct but it isn’t reliant on the team unless your Gm+ because at that point everything matters. In this case I am vastly superior to the dps against me but skill doesn’t win anymore, in the past it was way easier due to less of a tank meta but after sigma and ball were introduced it caused a massive imbalance in the roles. Any pro you ask will tell you that tank is BY FAR the strongest role in the game
When you are in silver and gold you have people that are there that belong in bronze and people that could be plat or higher but they dont rank up or down. Why? Because when you solo queue you are mostly so much reliant on your team that it makes impossible to impact games so much that you reliable win or lose.
Its a complete cluster F there. I will say it again: I hope OW2 forces a MMR reset and maybe then ranked can do the things its supposed to do: rate players. Not teams.
I would say when you are in bronze or diamond and higher you are save but everything from silver to plat is random.

i was completely in agreement with you till you blamed it on tanks being too strong. tanks are not too strong, balance is still bad and that’s the problem. you can’t carry because the game is too much about winning at hero select, and believe it or not the biggest culprit is how WEAK some tanks are compared to others. check Yeatle’s unranked to GM on D.Va where he loses literally over 4 times as many games as on any of his other tank unranked to GM videos. it’s basically impossible to carry on D.Va.

The skill disparity in silver/gold is insane due to smurfs, alt accounts, and people who are plat but can’t climb out because you can’t carry a game alone in gold if you’re only plat.
Hell, I just fell to 800 SR on DPS. I’ve never, ever, ever, ever been that low. NEVER. But I’m a 2250 support? Who knows why, I do see more smurfs in my dps games, but that can’t be the only reason, and no I’m not perfect at DPS but I still have the gamesense/awareness of someone higher. But if I’m the only gold/plat on my team and the enemy team has 2 or 3 then that makes it tougher for me to carry.
I’ve just stopped even caring about SR. I dropped to 800 sure, but in like three weeks I’ll probably be back up to 2k. Who knows! 
There’s plenty solo fps games out there if team fps game is not your cup of tea.

The type of people who main her and make alot of post on the forums about her are really good people that like to hear other’s opinions and are reasonable enough to accept that somethings do need change, nor are they the type of scoundrels’ to false flag anyone that doesn’t agree with them.
