The Bastion Buff Changes Nothing

Widow deals 120 damage fully charged. This takes 1,25 seconds.
Bastion has armor.
Bastion takes 20% reduced damage.
She will hit him for 91 damage.
He can heal for 75 per second.
So he can heal 93,7 health before her second shot.

Tell me more about how she can sniper him.

With the buffs thus far, he feels pretty good… The only change I would give him (well, all heroes really) is something to allow the player to get a feel for their current spread level using something other than the bloom on the reticle. I like a static reticle, but I would also like to know how accurate I am. Something like a color change, one color for minimum spread, one for maximum, and the player can choose colors for each.

Agree to disagree I suppose.

How about adding something like paintballs / tracing lines in the practice range?
That way we could get a feel for how each weapon functions.

I mean, I have a general feel for the gun, but I like the bloom feature but hate the non-static crosshair…

Personal tracers (meaning only you can see your own) in-game might be cool though… I don’t think that would be OP, right?

Wouldn’t be op, but might clutter the screen so much that the enemy gets away.

It would be optional of course… maybe variable opacity too

Genji deals 120 per swing.
1 swing each 0.86 seconds.

Bastion has armor. Armor reduces swing damage by 5.

Bastion has 100 armor and 200 health.
He heals 64,5 per 0,86 seconds.

Bastion will survive swing 1 with 185 health.
He will then heal up to 249 health.
Swing 2 and he is down to 134.
Heal up to 199.
Swing 3 down to 79.
Heal to 143.
Swing 4 to 23.
Heal to 88.
Swing 5 kills him.

This is only If the genji focuses his ult on only the bastion.
If the genji starts his ult right on top of the bastion.
And only If it’s a 1v1.

First off… Why wouldn’t he focus the Bastion?

And secondly… Swift Strike.

Because there are 6 players on a team?

Doesn’t do anything.
Either he uses it to get close to bastion, uses it as the first attack on bastion, or to get from bastion to the next target after him.

Swift Strike can be used between dragonblade swings to add damage without interrupting dragonblade swing timing. That’s 50 extra damage, basically for free. And that makes a difference. Bastion dies on swing 4 instead of swing 5 with Swift Strike in play, assuming the rest of your math is correct.

Yea… Solo ulting a Bastion is Genji-101

Is it now?
And what do you do If the bastion just sits there? With his healer?

Usually?
Healers run from that situation.

Guess who can’t run.

Takes 20% less damage if he doesn’t run.

And still dies no matter what.

Genji is not somehow “Countered” by Bastion of all characters… Genji doesn’t “struggle against him”

Nope. Just nope.
It’s a pretty hard counter actually.

So, i did just check your profile, and i now realize that it’s either a second account, or you’re rather new to the game.

Which is understandable.

20% of 120 = 24.
120 - 24 = 96.
96 - 5 = 91.

Genji swing 1 down to 209.
Bastion heal 273.
Swing 2 to 182.
Heal 247.
Swing 3 156.
Heal 220.
Swing 4 129.
Heal 194.
Swing 5 98.
Heal 163.
Swing 6 67.
Swing 7 kills bastion. ( the genji, who is at such a low skill floor that healers run away, won’t ever get this)

So, no. False. Bastion doesn’t just die.
People at plat or higher doesn’t run either.

A single swing not on bastion, and bastion lives. So you can’t use two swings on a healer.

You wanna give him CC or a mobility tool?

No…just…just no…

Which he doesn’t need.

He just needs damage in sentry to be lethal.

He got less spread, which is a hige buff. ATM he only needs QoL stuff, not CC or mobility,

Which is why his damage needs to be balanced. Thus his spread got decreased and now he’s much better. Not as good as Sentry used to be, but once again he just needs QoL improvements.

I advocated for less spread and QoL improvements. So far we got less spread, not we just need the QoL stuff.
