Double Shield was already viable, actually pretty strong. But now, they don’t have to be as clumped up to get value out of Baptiste’s ultimate, which will encourage Baptiste players to use it for his team instead of himself.
Which, makes his ultimate much better for stationary comps. Including Double Shield.

It’s still pretty bad ultimate overall, well duh as he has pretty good normal abilities. Now it has more uses, than just solo ult to your own feet.
I guess Baptiste could get a small nerf to his ultimate charge, not because of the width change. But because they slightly buffed his damage and healing numbers

Baptiste is best used in stationary comps, and he’s alright in Brawl comps. Since Double Shield is his best comp, he will be used in that. The buff will make him even better in stationary comps, since you sit behind your shields and can actually move around while still shooting through the Matrix.
Exactly it is a huge counter to double shield because bap gets his ult extremely fast and with characters like hog still viable as well as other high damage heroes the shields arent really a problem.
Double shield is allowed to exist and be used effectively
Hog against Double Shield is a joke. With Baptiste’s burst healing numbers increased, the damage mitigation from the comp is super good right now.
It is, but it’s on track to becoming meta again.

The thing with the current state is double shield can be outplayed and is countable where months ago you couldn’t counter it almost at all

Idk what rank you are, but from down in mid Plat I can say that he has definitely not been used a whole lot, I’ve actually seen more Genji in my games than Bap as of the last 2 weeks.
Are we going to say it’s a problem when, dive is on its way to be meta or any other tactic or will we hold our bias?
Bap wasnt a great support without brig. Because the other support could do what the other couldnt
Plat never really uses the meta, so that’s probably why. You start to see it around 3100 or so.
Where is Dive starting to become meta? I don’t see it in streamer games, and I don’t see it in my games. I see Double Shield.
Bap worked really well with Brig, but he does not depend on her.
It was a very mediocre Ultimate, did it need that big of a buff? Maybe not but it was not strong.
