First, I have seen (multiple times) a Mercy - the current version of Mercy, even before the recent buff - not only carry, but absolutely dominate games. As such, I respectfully disagree with you, as I have seen this character be more than capable of turning games around
Second, if a player does not believe their character can turn fights around, a player should in my opinion start looking at the other characters to identify one where they do believe they can do so. Mind you, I am not saying this will happen every time, but I think it is best for a player to play a character that they have confidence in, one they believe can be a difference maker in terms of getting the team a win
Keep trying to downplay luck factor of resurrect, itâs not going to get you anywhere. Or you trying to prove, that you can stand still for nearly 2 seconds in contested area, and not have enemy player put a bullet through your head? Without your teammates putting shield on you, which makes them good.
Eh granted even ana right now solo healing isnât good actually and solo healing is most likely pretty bad cause that ultimately means if you get picked youâre team has pretty much lost

Have you rez someome uncontested with no shield? Because I have. Itâs about timing and positioning. At this point I can only believe that youâre trying to find reasons to back you up which frankly are non existent. You backed yourself into a corner, dug yourself a hole.
Youâre not getting out of it, what Iâve learned from this is that 1) revert players will say anything to back themsleves up 2) you are either really bad a Mercy to think sheâs luck based 3) youâre either a really convincing troll or really bad at Overwatch.

A main healer is based on kit. Main healers are all about sustained healing through a fight and flex healers are more about utility. You donât pick lucio, brig or zen for their heals.
Same way, ana, moira and mercy are picked for their heals. Ana brings long range bursts, moira has aoe and mercy has consistency and being able to zip among teammates.
Sheâs still a main healer.

I understand your question, and answer is simple: I bother with competitive strictly for golden weapons. And with game in general strictly for skins/cosmetic items, which Blizzard did a better job with, than with balancing game.
More specifically, it is a buff and a revert exclusive to her ultimate. Something that still doesnât address the problem people have been talking about with her current state.
She still has one of the least impactful ultimates in the game, which is still unable to heal through most forms of damage, with an ultimate that still has the engagement of a glorified spectator camera.
Ressurect is still on an unearned, 30 second cooldown.
She still has 50hp/s as her main healing, still unable to outheal a Winston.
Jayne can say whatever he wants about the heroes, that is his opinion, and should be taken as such. They donât develop for the game, nor do they speak for the community as a whole. I think she is clearly more of an off healer, with no utility to back it up, compared to the other off healers, and other people believe so as well.
