Suzu shouldn't boop

This ability just does too much.

You get a aoe healing burst (only 50 but it’s still that), it cleanses, AND invincibility, AND it knocks back ennemies.

Blizzard need to stop with these heroes/abilities that do one billion things at a time.

Imagine being bothered by the infinitly insignificant boop of the suzu. The likelihood of it doing anything significant is almost 0 lol.

I am expecting you got booped off the map because you were on the edge of a bridge or smth and kiriko saw an opportunity (which has a 15s cd I believe and is far better used for her team (or maybe she did who knows and you were collateral damage)) and used it.

The boop really only ever effects Reaper during Death Blossom, but only good Kiriko players take advantage of that fact anyway. It’s insignificant on the whole.

Yeah well don’t try the “expecting” thing in the future because you’re bad at it.

Knockbacks can have a lot of value outside of just “haha funny boop off the map”. Messing up Rein’s charge, pushing short range characters out of range (Rein again, Ramattra, Brig and such), throwing off movements abilities in general are examples that comes to mind.

My issue is not with the knockback in a vacuum. My issue is with the fact that the ability is already S-tier without it, and it’s just adding another layer on top of all that Suzu already does. One cooldown needs not doing so many things with a singular button push.

The boop itself is, what, a 2m AOE? With the same force as being flicked on the nose, at best.

Shut up.

Its actually pretty good enough to bhoop squishies in lijand illios etc its as good as zen kick, the only issue is most kriko dont actually throw it to bhoop as its too costly.

Most of the time you are only experiencing the after effects cause it lands near those they try to protect rather than bhoop.

You can actually surprise lucios of map by standing near edge and when they come to bhoop you displace them just have tp though so if he gets you, you can tp back.

Its still a novelty though jsut for fun.

The boop isn’t much of an issue tbh. But I hate how it hits enemies blocking the way when I want to throw the suzu at an ally from afar

If someone gets booped off the map or suicides after a lost team fight, you can throw it, boop the target and get juicy ult charge for the kill worth all the HP the enemy had.

Have it or not. Better having it I would say.

It’s stupid that it can also boop on top of all the other things it does, but this is definitely the least broken element of the ability.

Still no reason for it to boop. Supports have such bloated kits as is. They need some things removed, mostly kiriko right now though

this is the same as shooting them.
again its insignificant

It definitely should boop and we should have these irrelevant but flavourful extra effects on abilities way more

Boop is insignificant but why is it there in the first place. A single ability should not have a long list of effects. They even left out being intangible on the list. It literally does so much most players don’t even know the full effect list.

Yes, finally someone saying what supports really need:
Nerfs across the board, because of the bloated kits.

After all, it’s their job to keep you alive and support the team walk around the map and just take it.

It’s not like there’s already a chronic shortage of people even willing to play support anymore.

Go ahead, queue flex for a bit, I doubt you get anything but support.

Honestly a fair change to suzu is it either cleanses or heals and invulns. If it only cleanses it’s too niche. But when it cleanses makes you CC immune and damage immune and heals, It’s probably a bit too much.

Power notwithstanding, they do have bloated kits though. Every single support released post-launch is more complex than every launch support, and even Mercy is way more complex to play than she used to be. Ana and Kiriko have single abilities with more effects than some heroes entire kits, and Brig and Moira literally have modal abilities to fit all their stuff. Then you have bap who maps an ability to crouch of all things.

There are other heroes outside of support with bloated kits to be sure, but even the most complicated ones (like, say, Genji or Sigma) go nowhere near the supports. Well, except Ramattra. He’s a different beast entirely.

Every single support ever released post-launch pushes OW’s standard control scheme to its breaking point. So yeah, that’s bloated by definition.

So bloated, yet no one really wants to play them.
They all gravitate towards tank and dps.

Might it be because tank is bloated with sustain AND dps, especially in arcade modes?

Might it be DPS have nothing to really worry about but shooting while complaining the heals aren’t pocketing them 24/7 but ignore you when you are actually under attack?

Even if their kit is bloated, it’s not enough to deal with the nonsense that comes with it.

You wanna nerf supports?
Go ahead, but don’t expect your queue times to improve in any way, more like plummet into the abbyss.

Even if they nerfed them, it’d probably be in a way absolutely no one asked for.

Suzu has a ton packed into it. The knockback is so little its one of those things you can say let’s just get rid of it. It won’t affect her and goes towards keeping the move more balanced.

The argument you make is completely irrelevant to mine. Supports are extremely powerful. Moreso than dps, and their kits are bloated. You’ve done nothing to argue against that

The tiny AOE and minimal boop distance Suzu does when it does hit makes is little more than tactile feedback for Kiriko’s surrounding enemies that helps them better notice when she just used her most valuable ability. “Oh, cool, I got nudged by Kiriko’s Suzu—TIME TO ULT!” :grinning:

It can help her enemies case they didn’t notice the momentary white flash Suzu makes when it is used alongside all the other overly flashy fireworks and ridiculous extreme graphical crap that often happens to be going off all at once on screen!

Suzu is far too valuable to waste trying to intentional boop anyone off the map, even during the most extremely off-chance scenarios that could arise where it might even work. Any Kiriko worth her salt would rather use Suzu to at least save herself while trying to go for directly for a kunai kill, and most preferably would rather hide behind their teammates and let them do the killing instead, and save Suzu to prevent an important ally from dying or to deny a team wipe from a burst ult.
