The yellow is likely for contrast to ensure that she remains equally visible on all maps regardless of their color palette. It’s a beautiful skin and I applaud Blizz for their work on this one!

I’ve seen some people say the yellow wings are because she’s the Sugar Plum Fairy and plums are yellow on the inside, but I don’t like it. The wings should be a light purplish-blue-green to match the rest of her kit. It would be an easy fix too- they did the same thing to Hanzo’s Casual skin last year so he wasn’t Old Man Hanzo.

I suggest making a mock up poll thread. One post with the OG version, one with the revised version(s) and ask people to like which one they prefer. That will give you a solid answer.

Fortune has green wings with red tips
Sigrun has white wings
Imp has pink wings
Devil has red wings
And witch’s wings change shape

And to add to this, Witch is not the only skin that not only changes the color but also the shape of her wings. For example if you look closely at the wings of her Viking skins you’ll see that they are different models than the wings of her basic skins.
Also, only the charity skin changes the color of her Valk wings, which tbh is a bigger problem I have with her art than the wing color of her new skin.

me too. they completely changed mercy’s hair, shoes, ears, staff, so it’s nice to have one little reminder of her core skin in this unique gorgeous fantasy skin version of hers. i also don’t think the yellow clashes…purple & yellow go well together (like OWL pro teams who use that color and the LA Lakers going with purple and yellow for their team jersies)

I definitely support a color change to purple or green/blue. Yellow doesn’t fit this skin.

I agree they should be changed from yellow. While it looks alright, it would look better as another color.
My sister bought the skin and as I’ve looked at it in-game, I think white wings with pink/purple tips would be pretty. It would match her white to pink/purple ombre petal dress. I feel as if purple, pink, or green being the main wing color might blend in too much with the actual wings (which end in green) Also her hair is green. I dunno I just think white/pink would balance out the overall colors more.
