Confession: If someone spams that, I will sometimes ignore it or spam it back. If I’m feeling extra petty, then I’ll deliberately not heal them for the rest of the match

I’ve literally died from sitting near spawn at critical with my Ana right next to me and I ask for heals and I’m suddenly dead while they weren’t bothering to heal me.
I’m going to spam away cause you’re letting teammates die for no reason.
The healing priority is as follows:
- other healer
- dps
- tank
How about instead of pocketing that full hp rein/hog dueling a Winston you instead take half a second to get that 100hp Tracer or that 150hp Ana to full.

Cause if youre sitting next to spawn while 4 other teammates are in line of fire just standing there spamming the I need healing button, they didnt ‘‘let you die for no reason’’
The reason is you dont feel like moving 2 meters to get to full hp while being out of line of fire, and let ana heal your teammates that are actually fighting. Nah, you’ll just sit there until you die. If this is how you normally behave I would not be surprised they actually started ignoring you on purpose.
Also just curious what did you die to while standing next to spawn doin fk all next to your Ana?

I dont spam it, unless I am RIGHT behind the healer and they are busy dpsing instead (happens a lot with Moira). Most of the time, I’ll say it once, then wait for around 5 secs. and say it again. If I do get heals, I always say “thank you” as well, so that the next time the healers remember to heal me

If you leave spawn spamming I need Healing all the way to first enemy encounter I just let you die unless it’s a placement match.

I dont think thats spamming, I generally appreciate when people do that when they need heals, I rely on sound cues (sounds of heroes when they take dmg) to determine if I need to heal someone thats behind me, but it does slip sometimes with all the sound effects.
I will also say I think Moira needs a healing resource button like the ultimate button. I rarely run out of it, but its always this awkward moment where a teammate needs and is expecting to be healed and Im stuck there looking at them like: Would you like some succ? Thats all I have to help you, sry thats not what you need really, but ye… good luck.

Eh, Moira is mobile enough to get to people she needs to. If she can’t get to them within a fade, they’re out of position anyway, and a heal orb should be used.

I come across blind healers who don’t notice a critical health squishy standing still right next to them waiting for heals far more often than I do these “need healing” spammers that forumgoers seem to come across in every game of theirs.
Not our problem if Moira decides to go Moira when the rest of the team is running dive, though.
Sometimes I accidentally spam it thinking i’m pressing another button…then I feel like a giant butt

Why defend supports with the attention span of a fish? multiple requests for healing is ‘attempting’ to grab attention from them, and even several amounts wouldn’t still do the job. If I asked once and got healed then there would be no problem to worry about, but certain situations strictly require repeated requests.
Again, you might think that you are the most important thing going on right now, but you probably aren’t.
Between you, me being chased by a Hanzo nobody else cares about because hey, he isn’t targeting THEM, a Widow sniping on both of us from a landing (that is more beneficial to scare off with a damage orb than to heal you), the Rein and Mercy desperately trying to hold the objective and three other things…
I have to prioritize. If I get that Widow away from the landing I save THREE of us. Etc.
I’m a diehard healer main but when I have to fill another role and end up being low and receive no healing even after I tried my best to position safely and asked for heals while being beside my healer and end
up dying because of that, they’ll get a couple of “need healing” post death. Because that’s either incompetence or they willfully left me to die. Granted, it’s quite rare for that to happen, but when it happens it’s awful. I never ever ignore teammates.
Also for the love of all that is good, if you’re the secondary healer keep an eye on your Ana and help her out when she’s low as to avoid forcing her to waste her grenade.

the only time i am ever doing that is when i am low hp for at least 10s+, my shield is almost down and I absolutely know that there is a Moira AND Ana right behind me but instead of healing me they prefer to play DPS Style.
Sorry, but when I do protect my team as good as possible because it is my job, i’d like to have them doing their job as well.
So when I’m alive and they don’t see the critical health icon above my head, and can’t see the “healing needed” in the chat I at least hope that when my dead body is lying there that at some point they realize “oh our Reinhardt is dead, I should have healed him once.”
