Still no OWL rewards after todays patch

Bump as of 11/26, any updates?

Yeah, it was pretty clear that they’re still working on it when they made those tweets last week. I think they only tweeted out because Craig made this statement on the same Thursday the first OWL tweet went out.

I’m still in the camp of this mostly being on YouTube not tracking properly (despite showing “Connected” status), and OWL pressuring them to find their missed connection with their viewers. So the “significant progress” could be that both sides fully understand where the problem happened, and it’s a matter of recovery, primarily from YouTube at this point.

And again, there usually isn’t a lot of momentum for work being done on the shorter 3-day week, especially for non-critical issues.

Yeah, it’s a long weekend. They’re not going to be working on this issue on a Saturday.

This is your first post. How can it “still” be an issue for you that’s being “ignored” when you never reported it here?

No one is updating a non-critical issue on a Saturday, nor will they on a Sunday.

Guys I’ve been in a coma for three weeks, did the two multi-billion dollar companies manage to sort out a small issue like this?

Glad to hear you recovered! Hopefully there were still some Thanksgiving leftovers to enjoy. Considering the issue is “small”, it wasn’t prioritized over the shorter holiday week. We will probably get an update on their progress sometime next week.

Honestly, if they really want to be in everyone’s good graces, they need to give everyone who watched the maximum timed rewards on the events. Instead of individually calculating watch times which is going to take even longer.

I think this would be the appropriate solution at this point. we’ve been waiting nearly(?) a month for rewards

Don’t hold your breath.

Almost a month after, still nothing past the 12 hour mark and no words from Blizzard.

I haven’t gotten the contenders DVa skin as well so I’m pretty sure they haven’t fixed the issue. At this point they should move the stream to twitch, at least it has a working drop system.

I’ve gotten some rewards but not all which is frustrating. For some reason I have the Zarya OWL skin but not the other ones that come at the 30-hour mark nor did I get the bonus 100 OWL tokens.

Logging in for the first time since the event was over I noticed I’m missing lots of things I was supposed to get. Including much fewer tokens than I should’ve earned. Checking my virtual wallet on my account shows they credit me with just ten hours of viewing. That is insulting. Unbelievably insulting.

I watched every moment of every stream for the entire event, including the encore streams that still counted for time watched. I intentionally went way beyond to ensure there was no screwups like this that would shortchange me. During the time frame I used three different devices (at different times) including laptops and my phone. My accounts are correctly connected and showed so on both ends. Imagine maxing out the rewards list only to be told you barely watched any of it.

Twitch drops have worked no problem over the years. YouTube? Massive fail. From what I see it’s been ten days with no further word from Blizzard. I get the feeling those of us who got screwed and haven’t been properly credited are just going to get “Sorry, but we’ve processed viewer hours and awarded them according to time viewed” after this point and not get what we’ve earned.

Bet the viewership/hours watched metric sure got put down correctly in the quarterly shareholder report.

Still missing:

50-60 (at least) tokens from the week of games, maybe from GF too
100 Token Bonus
Grand Finals 2 Spray
OWL Turns 5 Player Icon
Sojourn skins

same here, still missing EVERYTHING past around 30 hour mark

I still didn’t get most of the rewards. I just received early stuff (up to 12 hours).
Did watch everything…

I mean the issue is small per definition, the impact is a big one. I mean imagine so much of the playerbase losing trust at this point, that due to the tanked viewer count, sponsors start pulling out, and that would be a significant hole in Blizzard’s finances. This could have massive financial ramifications if not fixed ASAP, but apparently Blizzard went the other way, and hopes noone will remember in a couple weeks.

Same I watched and got no rewards.

The worst part of it is that they are continuing to cycle through the OWL vault skins without giving out the tokens. Clockwork Zen and Luchador Reaper are already gone, the Happi Genji and Knight Mercy will be gone on tuesday most likely along with the Winston and Doomfist champion skins.

So as time goes on, they’re basically forcing players who want these FOMO skins to pay up money as they’re witholding the free currency players earned, that could have been used to buy these. It’s a bad look for them, especially given how greedy the monetization in the shop already looks compared to other similar games.

Falou tudo cara, falou tudo…

I was watching it on YouTube on both my PC and phone just incase it bugged out. I set a timer before every match and know for a fact that I watched all of the playoffs, even the grand finals. I didn’t get any of the watch rewards past the 18 hour mark. I didn’t get any of the grand final rewards either.
I’m not mad, just kinda bumbed out cause of that. I know it’s gonna take time to resolve this issue and its not as high a priority as other issues, but I hope they get around to it soon.
