I’m glad you asked me to test the new hook because I found a new bug.
This will be a long post.
Let’s start with the question if Mei can be hooked out of Cryo-Freeze or not.
She can and can’t. It’s latency bound. The higher the ping, the longer it takes for the server to get the information that you have use Cryo-Freeze on your screen (client side). But if you get hooked right after you used Cryo-Freeze on your screen has the server already send you the information that Roadhog has thrown his hook to you. Because the information of you using Cryo-Freeze hasn’t reached the server yet and the hook already did does it seem that Roadhog has hooked you out of Cryo-Freeze. The first few frames of Cryo-Freeze only happened on your screen (client side). Other abilities like Reaper’s Wraith Form and Moira’s Fade have this problem as well.
The problem of Roadhog always hooking Mei out of Cryo-Freeze when you were already in Cryo-Freeze and getting the ability on Cooldown as seen in this video and in this video seems to be fixed. In those video can you clearly see Mei going in third person before getting the ability cancelled. This no longer seem to happen.

As you can see does Mei not go in full third person view.
The information of Mei using Cryo-Freeze probably hasn’t reached the server yet, but Roadhog’s hook has.

As you can see was Mei getting hooked but not pulled out of Cryo-Freeze. If you watch the frames slowly can you already see the hook when the camera goes through Mei’s body.
The information of Mei using Cryo-Freeze has reached the server yet, and so has Roadhog’s hook.
Alright. Now the bug.
If Mei get’s hooked after she has left Cryo-Freeze will Mei starts flying upwards.

I don’t know what causes this, but Roadhog’s hook will send the player flying upwards if the player gets hooked when their invulnerability ability (including Reaper’s Wraith Form and Moira’s Fade) is on cooldown.
I will post this bug in the PTR bug.
