A new mission in Antartica in PVE? Maybe during Archives event next season?

If this is the third overwatch centric pve mission that stars tracer Im gonna lose my mind loooool.
I live for legendary mode, and people LOVE to be one shot while playing her. Its been like 4 years and people still think they can stand direvtly in front of an enforcer.

Adding this to Hero 37 possibilities.
with the introduction of the antarctic map and more likely the introduction of the rest of the skins we can speculate that they will be introducing a first PVE in the present rather than the past of OW. It would already be the first narrative step that we have always requested for OW2.
But I agree with you on that note: perhaps having the prospect of much more alternative missions as a team (for example talon team) would be more tantalizing.

There is also the anomaly itself.
Could be Null Sector again. (Not really a faction if it only has one hero.) 
Interesting. It would be interesting to see if this is for an Archives event when it takes place. If it has Sojourn, it’s presumably post-recall, which would be a first. And given that Null Sector might be operating in Antarctica, it would be the first time an Archives mission has actually taken place in the ‘present day’, so to speak.
Then again, it’s just as likely that it’s some kind of generic themed bundle to go along with the map.
Have a feeling we will learn more in two weeks. (aka the Twitch event on the 22.)
Speculation:
Story involves Mei returning to Antarctica to properly rest her fallen colleagues but stumbling onto a story point along the way.
And a new hero just because
If they choose to use Antarctic Peninsula as a base for the mission, there’s actually quite a few suspicious doors that can be expanded on into new little PVE zones for the mission.
Off the top of my head, there’s big doors by a mega health pack near point on Lab and Icebreaker, but nothing for Sublevel

Hopefully they can make the 3rd Overwatch mission fun because the other 2 were mediocre compared to Retribution.
But seeing 3 of the same heroes again for the PvE mission gives little hope it’ll be exciting, here’s hoping not more bland dialog

Judging from Wrath of the Bride they’ve certainly already implemented some of the new PVE tech. Hopefully that means something good for the campaign
It would be weird for them to introduce S4 skins early. I imagine these are shop skins?
