Quick Melee additive base damage did not scale with “Melee Damage %”, this has now expanded to “Weapon Power %”, which previously used to scale the added base melee damage, it now no longer does.
The Stadium practice range bots have 200HP, with the added 15 Quick Melee damage from the Hidden Blade Power, Genji deals 55 damage per Quick Melee, with 25% Weapon Power or Melee Power one would expect 55 * 1.25 = 68.75 damage to be dealt, in which case 3 melee hits (206.25 damage) would kill a practice range bot. Instead the bot survives with 5HP as it takes 195 damage, because 65 (40 * 1.25 + 15) damage is dealt per hit.
This is an undocumented nerf, and feels inconsistent based on the Power’s description, stating “increase Quick Melee by 15”, as if it is meant to scale as part of Quick Melee, which it DOES, with Quick Melee critical hits dealt by the Ambusher Optics item (critical hits deal 50% increased damage, 65 * 1.5 = 97.5, the bots end up with 5HP after 2 hits, if it didn’t scale then 50 * 1.5 + 15 = 90 damage would be dealt, leaving the bot with 20HP).
The Hidden Blade Power description suggests that Quick Melee goes from dealing 40 damage to 55 damage as base, which suggests it should scale the same way, and so the additional damage should be scaling with Weapon Power and Melee Power.
Alternatively, the Hidden Blade Power description should be reworded to state that the additional damage is dealt separately and is fixed/does not scale, and it shouldn’t scale with critical hits from Ambusher Optics as a result (and should probably be buffed back to 25 damage).
