WinZip is not the program I am referring to and is a commericial program for compressing and extracting file packages. I need to you to download WinMTR. Note, the download file comes in a .ZIP package and Windows 10 should have a system built in zip extractor. So if you have WinZip installed, please uninstall it.

Hi, I’m experiencing troubles too here in Indonesia. The last time I played OW two days ago I can still connect to the servers (save some lag spikes all is well). Today I tried to go in but it wont even go to the game main menu. It just said “Connection to server lost” or something around that line. Here’s my winMTR results using the US Central Server

Seriously? Its happening again for the 4th time
Yep same here, cant even connect to the server on first media. it started since around midnight last night.
Every single evening it’s almost impossible to connect now. I don’t know when this will be resolved. Can’t we just have a login server on SEA? Also, free weekend is coming so might as well…
EDIT: I once made a post mentioning Wireshark results on this problem. The problematic server is not the one with the IP [24.105.30.129] (taken from the support article). Instead, my Wireshark inspection result pointed that my OW Client connects to [37.244.13.113] which ultimately closed the connection by sending me [RST/ACK] packet whenever “Lost connection to game server” message appears. And the WinMTR results to this IP showed much more packet loss than the IP from the support article.

Apparently 37.244.13.113 is a French IP…
This is also happening to me with the ISP of first media. I just discovered this im not sure when it started.
There seems to be more than enough servers for ensuring login but apparently only a couple of it being good. This time I have 37.244.19.108 which closed my connection to the server.

And with a simple google search looking up 37.244.19.108, again it’s a French IP. This leads to the conclusion where the login servers for Americas region are situated in France.
I’ve also made sure that I chose Americas region before saying that I chose Europe region, which funnily enough works along with Asia.
Anyways I have this Wireshark capture as well but I’ll be sending this via support ticket if required.
EDIT: Looking at the WinMTR results, it’s NOT because of cable cut as the connection to US (24.105.62.153) is fine.
EDIT 2: For now, the only workaround is to “fish” the connection with USB tethering to cellular network first, or with VPN. Then you have the option to switch back to your primary ISP which works 70% of the time.
Yeah, having the error connecting to server, plz try again on the PS4 platform as well. It’s something in the middle, or at Blizzard’s end, but it’s not the cut cable. OMG, I’m actually agreeing with a SKY “internet specialist”. It’s so bad that the only way I can get into a match is if I group up with friends from the USA. The OW “support” team has this on low priority since they consider SE Asia to be 3rd world. Only way to get this bumped is to be road and spam, spam, spam.
I mean…we dont even have our own server, even though there’s a large player base here.
