Storm Bow Projectile Speed increased from 110m/s to 130m/s
Storm Arrow Ammo capacity reduced from 5 to 3 arrows.
Storm Arrow Cooldown reduced from 10s to 8s.
Storm Arrow Recovery Fire Rate increased from 0.25s to 0.33s.
Nani comment: I’ve noticed that there’s little too much power into storm arrow where it became a problem mainly for tanks. I’ve decided to reduce the number of storm arrows while also reverting the fire rate back to reduce the tank busting nature of it. I’ve also reduced the cooldown for Hanzo to keep storm arrow relevant for squishies, while also buffing his projectile arrow speed for more consistency purposes to make him the projectile sniper as he’s made to be.
McCree:
HP Reduced from 225 to 200
Fan The Hammer Damage decreased from 50 to 45 OR 40.
Nani Comment: McCree has been doing well in this game which is fine. However, he’s doing a little too well. I’ve decided to revert his hp back to make the matchups more fair, while also keeping his fth less of a tank buster, but fine for securing kills on squishies.
Tracer:
Fall-off Range decreased from 12-20m to 10-20m.
Nani Comment: Tracer has been a pretty strong hero in multiple metas for so long, so I’ve decided to lower her fall-off back to her original state where the tracer has to be closer to her opponents to dish out optimal damage.
Hanzo don’t need any compensation buffs and the last thing OW need is ‘Basically Hitscan Hanzo’.
Just a nerf on his Storm Arrows would due. I woild argue that their burst dmg are the biggest problem, maybe that they can headshot is a main problem.
McCree needs the explosion radius of his fladhbang nerfed from 3 to 2m at least and the suggested FtH nerf from 50 to 45.
The full revert on Tracer would deffinatly help though.
Sadly, we all know the devs will avoid doing these.
Instead, they will give Tracer no spread or falloff, McCree twelve bullets and double FTH firerate, and Hanzo fires three arrows at once per storm arrow shot.
The thing is, this would actually kill McCree’s usefulness, +25 HP is what made McCree viable for the first time ever (well since his FTH no longer does same damage as primary fire), McCree used to be able to shoot faster and even then, he still wasn’t played all that much in the higher ranks
Even now, Ashe gets played more than him in Contenders which is why I suspect her didn’t get a nerf in the current experimental
Personally I think they should partially revert his reload time to 1.35 seconds (currently 1.2) and reduce his health by 10 (so 215)
And if he’s still too strong then maybe reduce his stun duration back to 0.7 seconds
I don’t think nerfing him so he’s worse than before the buffs that made him actually useful is the course of action to be taken, but rather partially reverting it, so he’s still useful but not played excessively like he is currently
Otherwise I definitely agree with Tracer nerf and the Hanzo one is interesting
I’m not gonna lie, if his storm arrow was replaced by him firing 3 arrows at once instead, and that was just the ability, like essentially a shotgun mode, I’d actually like it.
Not only do you want to take away 25hp which allows him to actually play the game without a support pocket, but you want to reduce FtH damage as well?
His HP should not be touched. McCree had 200hp for 4 years and was trash for 4 years. They tried to increase his firing speed & people hated that, so slightly Thiccree is what we’re left with
40 damage FtH is useless. 240 damage for 6 of his bullets is not worth it when you can headshot twice for 280 and have 4 bullets left over. Even 45 damage FtH isn’t great, because that’s still only 270 for all 6 bullets, and you don’t have time for all 6 bullets to come out before the enemy can react with an ability
I wouldnt say “first time ever” but i cant accept the fact that a hero like McCree needed the 225hp in the first place like ever. When they did the 25+/- increments, it made a lot more sense for widow and symmetra to receive that treatment. They tried it with brig and she got handled quickly because it appears that alone made her a meta. But i can assure you it wasnt as bad as how mccree is left with 225hp and he just skyrockets in terms of viability among any other dps, while tracer not even reaching half of his pickrate. Thats insane. 200hp with his other 3 buffs would still keep him viable. He needs some toning back with his hp and fth. The other buffs will keep him fine. I’m trying to lower his tier to around B tier and drop him from S tier.
I’ve also looked at tracer because if a tracer counter is getting nerfed, then she must be nerfed as well to compensate. Also the hanzo change is to powershift away from his storm arrows and into more of a projectile sniper to make him more consistent in that department and turn his storm arrows into a defense mechanism against squishies, not tank busting.
