Stealth. It only activates when she translocates. And only for 5 secs.
Also translocator is on a much bigger cooldown.
moving Stealth away from being a passive
that activates on its own to instantly triggering every time you use Translocator. It will now only stay active for five seconds after you translocate. This change moves away from allowing Sombra to take any position she wants, but instead gives her a play loop that increases her lethality. Sombra is revealed briefly when she takes damage or uses her hack, instead of losing the stealth entirely. Translocator also has a longer cooldown, so you will need to carefully plan how you attack your enemies or use the ability as an escape route.
We’re also giving back Sombra her Opportunist passive which allows you to see targets that are critically injured through walls along with increasing weapon damage over time. We’ve also reduced the Hack ability lockout to one second, which has been a frustrating part of her kit that opponents have had to deal with. We’ll be watching how you all adapt to these changes and what new strategies you deploy with this new playstyle."
She might be crap now, depending on how long the cooldown of tp is and how “lethal” she is. I think it will feel much worse to be ambushed by her with her new passive + lethality, but aside from that she will likely be back to F-tier
So they nerfed her stealth but she gets 20% bonus damage against hacked targets. I get the feeling this isn’t going to make her much less annoying, she’s still going to assassinate you in half a second and then teleport away.
lol! this cripples Sombra. an a 1 second is useless. by the time she hacks and brings her gun up to shoot, hack is done. she cant hack basically anything anymore.
Plus, she is one of the slower heros with base speed. So she will not even be able to capitalize on Oportunist either.
They just adding Opportunist back as a “conselation” to be honest
I am so tired of them stripping her identity (she’s a freaking hacker Blizzard) every other season and not even making her game-play any less toxic in the process.
People don’t like a bursty stealth assassin anymore than they liked having their abilities perma-locked. Hell, I’d argue the assassin version is worse in terms of how many people actually get impacted.
Not sure what that means. Previously it just gave a flat damage increase to her bullet (not her melee). I imagine Virus interacts with Hack the same way it did before.
But ya no, if you take away her abilty to set up. Their going to put else ware.
Prepare for her to be closer to soldier now that you got what you wanted.
Ya pretty much.
Note invis doesn’t break when shot now, so it is a “better” escape tool. But like with it having a longer cooldown she can no longer do the whole mid fight flow state of poping to different highground areas, and mixing up your target.
