The stacks of video evidence showing that the LoS checks to stop Sombra from getting hack off was broken?
The numerous Sombra players who would just try to face charge the enemy team and try to get a lucky hack out instead of being a stealthy backliner like she was intended?
Her hack always worked like that since release. Even if you consider that a fair change its a nerf regardless. If you want to change that then only coupled with compensation buffs. She was far away from being an OP pick. The Sombra meta did never exist and she was on the decline already pre nerf.
âNumerousâ? How many is ânumerousâ and at what elo is this happening? If you say anything below Masters Iâm 100% confident that Sombra would have been 200% more effective just playing Tracer, 76, or even Reaper instead of holding RMB and hoping for the best.
Hack is an inconvenience for 21 characters on the roster, dangerous to 5, and lethal to 1. It does no damage on its own, and unless youâre in a game with high coordination (read: ladder matches at Masters+), itâs completely useless because only the Sombra herself will try to capitalize on it.
Every single team that runs Sombra in Contenders or OWL struggles because Sombraâs own damage output is very low, and you need an extremely good Tracer/76/McCree to go with her to make up for the difference.
Like, whatâs Sombraâs post-buff, pre-nerf win rate in Contenders compared to her pick rate? Whatâs Sombraâs pre-buff win rate in OWL, and then compare that with how often teams simply skip her and full hold instead?
That isnât what killed her.
Taking away her hack and making one of her core abilities pretty useless along with the other half of her kit is what killed her.
Without hack, she only has her invisibility, which can be useless with one stray bullet, and her transporter (BOTH which take you out of a fight) Her hack was her only advantage that warranted her having the suckiest weapon and the taxing of her other abilities.
With that being inconsistent, she really is no better than an unskilled Tracer.
Same goes for why they didnât give her a PTR patch for her nerf to be fair. If they are so intent on ârushingâ out her balance, they might as well keep it consistent right?

People asking for quick Sombra buffs as a reaction for her coming into a bad spot. No, no, no we should be reasonable and wait for how things play out.
Why would any PRO play her now that they got the nerfs they wanted so that she wouldnât be seen in OWL play in the first place?
She had countered Tracer and the shield meta, which is what the PROs focus on playing. They arenât going to use a hero that they wanted to be UP so that they could play.
I love how Blizzard responds to Pro players immediately, but when a balancing is needed for a hero in a bad spot and the playerbase calls it, it takes MONTHS for them to come to a consensus.
Sombra has been in a not good spot for a while. Gets a buff, and before the dust can settle, they trip her because some dudes complained she was âannoyingâ, despite her data being meh.
So tired of all my favorite heroes getting rebalanced until they are trash⊠Iâm so done.
But they gave her 2 weeks before.
It hasnât even been 1.
Nerf demands didnt start at week 2 though.
But itâs one thing to be complaining about it.
Itâs another to expect the devs to actually put in a change that quickly.
What difference does it make? 2 weeks and directly to live, or after 1 week on the PTR and stays there maybe for 2 weeks and then goes live? Her trend is going down, not upwards. With the addition of Brigitte to comp it will arguebly even become worse. She doesnt have the damage to deal with armored up comps.

Again you cant watch OWL to tell is a character is good or not these guys play 8+ hours a day to win money we play when we have time with random people and donât even join voice chat or make any type of plan.

Increase her ammo clip
sheâs really good in high ranks, trash in low/mid. i doubt they can balance this without totally changing the hero.
âBeing really goodâ doesnt translate into actually being used then.
She is top 10 least picked hero in gm.
OWL players wonât use her. Sheâll just useful against Rainhardâs shield in every other case Tracer does better than her.
In coordinated play you have no time to run on crazy flaks to just hack one player and if youâll have a very hard time with a fart damage threshold in doing so.
