I don’t know about ease of use, but there’s a ‘cool factor’ in infinite invisibility, even if it’s not actually very practical or effective.

I too can see the potential for both change, but the one on the PTR needs some help/ tweaking to make it better.

I like the Sombra changes

We have another round of Sombra changes coming to the PTR soon as well. This is what is coming: Reverting the detection radius from 4 to 2. You no longer need to look at the translocator to destroy it, you can now just hit the interact button and it will be destroyed. If you’re standing on a Symmetra teleporter hitting interact will only teleport you to Symmetra’s other teleporter, rather than destroying your translocator. Dramatically lowered the enemy sound cue for the translocator location.…

We have another round of Sombra changes coming to the PTR soon as well. This is what is coming:

• You no longer need to look at the translocator to destroy it, you can now just hit the interact button and it will be destroyed. If you’re standing on a Symmetra teleporter hitting interact will only teleport you to Symmetra’s other teleporter, rather than destroying your translocator.
• Dramatically lowered the enemy sound cue for the translocator location. You need to be nearly standing right on it now to hear it.
• EMP now works on Wrecking Ball Minefield, disabling the mines for 10s
• You can now interrupt reload by hacking.

We’re still evaluating the changes overall, but shes unlikely to regain the ability to contest objectives or have +75% move speed while invisible. The goal of these changes is to make her stronger overall, even if it means being slightly weaker in some areas.

This is amazing, all she is her 75% speed buff back.

Can’t celebrate just yet, there’s still a lot of missing utility from stealth and translocator can still be destroyed but it is a start.
At the very least, we’ve proven that Blizzard are willing to change things in the ptr if the backlash is loud enough.

Yeah, I honestly don’t mind not being able to contest. I only did it to draw enemies away from the choke cause comms are horrible at my rank but that slower speed hurts. I’m still just trying to get used it.

This version seems playable at least. I wish they kept the movement speed but I’ll probably get used to it in a month or two. Unable to contest is the biggest nerf imo but at least now you can get in perfect position to hack a rein and your teammates will say good hack instead of het off sombra
