Solid ideas to decrease DPS queue times

Idea 1.
Reduce DPS queue times after winning multiple games as Sigma, Orisa, or Reinhardt.

Multiple ways to do this. For example, win 5 games as a shield tank and be put in a priority queue.
Or every win gets you queue tokens that you can use to skip other dps players in line.
Each token could take 1 minute from your queue time. Spend 10 tokens and wait 5 minutes for a game.
Or after winning 10 shield tank games you get the next 3 games in priority queue.

Idea 2.
Rework the tank image completely. Make tanks anatomically correct and more attractive to dps only players. Give them flashier moves, radiant or glowing skins.
Reduce model sizes of the tank characters but add a field around them that takes damage so characters keep their bulky size without it being visual.
Release tank characters that are young and attractive.
I believe alot of people play characters they think are cool looking, blizzard should make cool new tanks.

My idea wont hurt dps players that dont participate, they can continue waiting in line like always.

I don’t think hardcore DPS mains will ever move on from that role. And there are just too many hardcore DPS mains.

But some dps will take advantage of this system and will be rewarded with tanking skills, game understanding and much better queue times. I think it would be a good experience overall.

Also tank mains will have a way to play dps if they ever want it, another plus

best idea is to make the game free2play and make dps queue unlockable for money. 15€/month for playing dps.

Damn, they would profit so hard…

Yeah but that idea isnt realistic. Blizzard would have to convince their shareholders that more dps woyld pay for this service than spend $50 on the game and sit in queue for 15 mins hue.

They are all ready proving that people will continue buying the game full price and wait in line to play dps.

The flex player died when locked role queue rolled up… no they don’t they are simply laughing at DPS long queue time enjoying playing as tanks and supports

O ok. I paid $50 for my ps4 copy december of last year. It doesnt matter though. Your idea would work if they charged more than what the game is worth every month. So if the game is 25 they charge $35 a month. Remember they have to pay for the programming and service set up. It would cost ALOT of money to implement and theyd have to recoup that cost. Theyd have to tax the service differently which would require lawyers and more cash. Its just not ever going to happen. Remember tank and support players like to play dps too.

My idea is way cheaper and would be waaaaay easier to implement

there is a reason why f2p games can survive only with cosmetic sales.

also they still have OWL for the big monies.

i’m pretty sure they can find an economic model … atm no one cares about lootboxes, they can make more money with a better version of skin sales.

Both ideas are too complicated. No one really wants priority queue they just want faster queues, and reowrking an entire set of heroes is simply too much work. More dps need to queue tank or support, that is the only solution.

Well ive humored your idea that derails my thread. How about we talk about the idea i suggested. I think there are a large amount of players that would rather play tank and learn more about the game than the players that would rather pay cash every month to avoid playing shield tank. If most people would rather pay money than play a tank then they only cement the absolute necessity of role queue. Its pretty sad.

Do you really think this is the best idea or are you joking, cuz to me this is pretty clearly the worst possible idea, f2p is fine and will help, subscription queue will literally kill this game.

Priority queue is a faster queue.

Not full reworks just streamline character model reworks. Appeal to people’s shallow side, similarly with how Apple attracts iphone buyers.

Pay to dps is a bad idea. Players that dont pay wont play dps. The payer would get bad value out of the subscription because queues would still be long lol. Thats the funniest part. You get enough people paying and theyd still be waiting. Dont forget alot of people that dont have jobs also play, dont forget about the 10 year olds.

Edit, also youd still have to wait on tanks before you can play, no matter if you pay $1000 a month.

Idea 3: DPS mains should queue for tank every now and then. Tanking is not that bad unless you think it is!
