So who seriously wanted 5v5?

This isn’t really a solution, they are just changing the problem so we have something new to complain about.

It’s a potential solution to the issues I was referring to.

In fact, the reaction from Blizzard fans to the announcement of OW in 2014 was extremely nasty and dismissive.

No one asked for it, its just Blizzards latest attempt to dethrone EA as the most hated company in the United States. They really want that trophy apparently.

If they changed the game the way it is now to 5v5, it wouldn’t be pretty.

I don’t think a lot of kids on the forums understand that there are drastic changes coming, specifically designed around making the game 5v5.

It seems like children on this forum think it will just be overwatch 1 with 5v5 instead of 6v6.

Multiple major game companies are reported to have long-standing culture of abuse and harassment? Gamers sleep.

Game company makes announces balance change? MOST HATED COMPANY IN THE UNITED STATES.

I don’t think a lot of kids on the forums understand drastic changes to the gameplay are not what is needed , but new content, specifically new heroes.

It seems like children on this forum are willing to lose anything which makes overwatch overwatch, just to have shorter queu-times.

This isn’t a personal request kinda deal, that’s not how it works. Just chill out and wait for the game to release, and actually play it before passing judgement.

I am for one, lol.

I’m not a fan of spending half my free time waiting for the game to start, but to each their own.

I mean, thats also logic behind 222 creation on its own.

Hey, I never asked for role queue, sounds like you did. So I hope you continue to enjoy the consequences of it.

That is exactly the worst reason to change crucial game elements - just to make selfish DPS mains join games faster. Instead they should just get rid of rolelock.

LOL I don´t know where in the world i sounded like a rolelock supporter. I always wanted to keep the freedom in OW. And that is why we don´t need more restrictions.

You alluded to role lock as something that makes Overwatch “Overwatch” which sounds off given we have these nasty restrictions. But my bad, I just dislike role queue supporters crying about a compromise that was intended for them, basically. Didn’t mean to throw that shade at someone who knows what it is.

I guess the accounting department at Blizzard is the primary force. Blizzard wants complete control. No community servers, no modding, secret rigging code, and forcing people to play a game the way BLIZZARD want it played, not the way people want to play, or instinctively play. But with that control comes the cost of running the servers.

Someone buys the game, and after that they are just a cost. Every time they play, they consume expensive server resources. The only reason you want them to keep playing, is because you need 12 players to make a game, and if noobs have to wait 20 minutes for a game, they wont come back, switching off to 1000 other games they could play.

So you change the game to make it easier for noobs to get into it, and hopefully they will tell their friends about it, and viola! more sales! But by doing that, you essentially destroy the game, screw up the balance and the game play, and you lose existing players, some of whom would have spent extra dollars on loot boxes and skins etc.

So I guess the accounting department gave the OW Team one last chance to turn failing revenues around, and the team decided that if it was a completely different dynamic, it would feel like a new game. And that would possibly generate some excitement and possibly some sales, and possibly save their jobs.

No, i alluded to 6-player-teams as something that makes OW OW.
Rolelock was a mistake and it was clear before it was forced, just as it is clear now that 5v5 is a mistake.

But it’s also going to intensify a hell lot more problems imo

They can sell us those solutions in Overwatch 3, don’t worry about it!

I disagree. The only real problems I see are the loss of tank synergy (Which I predict won’t personally affect me or my games but you know) and the potential stress of solo-tanking.

They could also release them for free like they are in OW2

I haven’t played role lock since open queue was re released…but okay.

Not sure what your point is.
