So who’s looking forward to 20 more placements

All the bad things won’t happen if we believe enough and pretend they won’t! 2-2-2 will get us all into GM!

If you think the placements will be the same you are in for a nasty wake up call.

It will be probably 5 for each role which means its only an extra 5 placement match / season.
Top of that even those placements will be more enjoyable because you are actually play said role in the rank you belong to.

A separate role SR means also separate placements. It’s kinda obvious.

Because you know. It’s separate. Your SR is not shared between the roles. Which also means separate placements, otherwise if it was just 10 placements that would mean you are not on your correct skill level with 1 or more roles.

Whatever the case a role queue , 2-2-2 or whatever will still be an improvement to what we have now in competitive.
Which is a huge unorganised mess. You get one good game out of every 10 instead of getting one bad game every 10.
Competitive should have some form of organization , it shouldn’t just be a free-for-all circus.

Anything is better than what we have now.

So it will instead force 2-2-2 with no means of switching around roles to counter the enemy team. Oh your tank player plays winston, against a reaper on the other team and he refuses to switch from money ? Good luck.

You could go mccree to counter the reaper ! Oh wait… you’re locked as a support. Oops.

You have not made any form of an argument on this thread.

The same could be said for pro 2-2-2 posts.

I agree, this is the only way that I will stay sane if they decide to implement role based SR.

If they’ll do it.

Well people are not supposed to be the solo do-it-all problem solvers of the whole team.
Even though in your head you think you can play every position better than everybody on your team.
In the OverWatch community everybody is a grandmaster in their heads that is being kept down by their teammates, or one tricks, or leavers, or Smurfs, etc etc.

No, but this entierly removes that possibility to be able to counter your teams counters.

Got a DPS that can’t aim ? Now you’re stuck with him the rest of the game.

Most bad things that will supposedly happen are half assed assumptions.

If they outweighed all the potential positives then we wouldn’t be at a stage where its likely to be implemented soon…

For OWL yes, but not for the base game, and I hope it never comes to the base game.

So you are the final judge in every team to evaluate if a DPS player cant aim right?
You want to be judge jury and executioner in the situation.
You are playing a main healer or main tank and you want to leave your team without one of those roles because you want to add another DPS player to the team because you are the best option because you think you are better than whoever is playing DPS right?
Like I said , in every player’s head they are the best option and it’s always their teammates that are trash.

World of Warcraft would like a word with you.

Queue times for damage characters in WoW are still incredibly long. About the only time you get in fast is if you bring a Tank. Sometimes support brings you forward as well but Tank is the ONLY class that will get you a fast queue time.

I mean, if things aren’t dying they are probably not doing their job, I see when a DPS can and can’t aim. As Ana you become painfully aware of that after a while.

Considering I have helped win games by switching to a dps… Yes, it does work.

It will. They balance around OWL so if both versions of the game dont have it, it adds even more instability and makes the game too hard to balance.

Cant wait personally :grin::grin:

Except it’s really not that bad now, the hyperbole is ridiculous. The bigger problem now owes more to smurfs than bad compositions; and a lot, if not most of those bad compositions adhere to 2-2-2.

And that is why OWL is running on a earlier patch than the base game is ? Ok then buddy.

I can’t wait for the game to die either ! /s

All these anti-role q people are just selfish players that want to hold the whole player base hostage in the competitive circus environment it is now.
They want the whole system to be decided on situations that happened a very small percentage of the time. Which is where flexing out of your comfort role actually works out.
It’s great that flexing worked that one time out of 20 games.

well yeah, but at least there would be a tolerable margin for everyone. I mean if waiting on the queue is tolerable for you then stay, if not play another class.

At least its an option in those games. If I don’t need to, then great, I don’t need to and won’t switch. But for now, at least it’s there. With 2-2-2 I’ll be held to ransom by 2 short range DPS refusing to take longer ranged heroes to deal with Pharah, or Bastion, or whatever.
