I have two possible theories.
It could be anesthesia, think about it, it can be injected via IV, so it could be very possible to use it with a sleeping dart as well. Anesthesia is not like being tranquillized. Anesthesia is for putting people to sleep, just like how Ana’s sleep dart puts any hero to sleep.
Or, It could very well be a fast-acting tranquillizer.
But whatever it is, it sure gets the job done.

If it’s anesthesia, then there would have to be a random chance where you pretty much just instantly die from sleep alone.
not only can it sleep you, it can kill you! (if slept enough times in one life)

Makes sense for science fantasy, also for robots.
that sounds like it could be true though
it doesn’t put you to sleep as your eyes are still awake and you can hear things,
so its more of a paralyzing dart.
