The teased Summer Skins are fun and creative, but I personally feel like they leave something to be desired…
I think it has to do with the way they over-applied sports gear on heroes like Roadhog and Reinhardt to the point they look more like omnic versions of themselves than actual real people wearing sports gear. The Winston one is not bad, although I think it could have been a little better.
But here’s an example:
As you can see, Reinhardt looks almost exactly like the FOX NFL robot. This seems weird to me. Why can’t we see Reinhardt’s face like a real NFL player.

Again…fun, but…doesn’t really have a Roadhog feel. Is that just me?

I really like the rein edit , imo that’s the only bad thing about the skin , we can’t see his face
Even if his face was visible partially under the helmet it would look way better
As for the hog skin , idk for me it feel like hog , we can see part of his torso and we’re used to hog with a mask anyway ( that’s part of the hero )
Yeah, that’s a good point about the mask regarding Roadhog. But the armor on him I feel like could be a bit darker. Like dark grey and red, or something.
My problem is that the skins are too much of a mix between sports and armour. Like Hog’s mask looks cool but it looks like something from a sci-fi armour skin, not sports. In Rein’s case it’s fine cuz he’s supposed to have big armour but Hog just looks kinda weird

I think what you’re feeling is off is the sports theme. It fits the event but it doesn’t necessarily fit the sci-fi quirky world of OW. It’s two distinct flavors that clash. I would have liked to have seen more AnaCabana and Waverunner than Baseball and Football themes.
Yeah, and I’m not saying I don’t like them. I love Winston’s sunglasses, haha. It’s just Roadhog’s feels a little too bright, and I’d like to see a darker color scheme on him.
Reinhardt’s face just needs to be visible on that skin, then he’s set. But that’s just my opinion, and I am biased about Reinhardt.
I love that one! I don’t have a bunch of credits on my PC account, but I’m totally going to spend the credits for that one. I just got a pretty amazing raise, so I’m feeling more spendy than usual.
