where is roadhog’s meta? pretty much every tank has had a meta but not quite hog)maybe not orisa either)

It’s not always the tanks who are the enablers of metas.

In triple tank was Ana the one who enable it. We also had the moth meta with Mercy.

But with dive were the tanks the enablers.

It’s very unlikely that Roadhog will be the enabler of a meta. He’s a close range hero with plenty counters.

They do, Orisa and hog make a fantastic team, maybe look further then the eye can see. Orisa pulls up, road pulls a person in

The only meta that the tanks shaped is Dive, and the brand new “disrupt” meta to some degree.

are tank players rare? I know main tank players are rare in 4.3k + but I think there’s plenty in other ranks

Pretty rare. In LFG, you are always waiting on Tanks to join.

I never have issues having the tank role filled.

The tripple tank meta was enabled by: Soldier, Ana, and D.va.

D.va was a must pick back then, because of how good the defense matrix was, Ana could pretty much soloheal the 3 tanks (the secound healer was Lucio most of the time), and Soldier was good enough to play as a solo DPS.

So we can say, that tripple tank was kinda enabled by a tank… I guess :smiley:

Roadhog was the primary DPS in triple tank and shaped that meta a lot more than Ana did. Rein/Dva/Zarya wasn’t good, despite the fact that the meta went from Rein/Hog/Dva to Rein/Hog/Zarya pretty seamlessly. Pre-nerf Dva and Ana prevented other strats from being effective against triple tank, but Hog would still be required for the shield battle.

The reason is easy to find.

Main tanks are no more fun to play.

Don’t know man… as a main tank 2-2-2 configuration is almost always instantly filled !

Hog can be in the new disrupt meta, aka CC meta since he has the hook and high survivability
