I mean her flight is better, her ult is better. Her weapon seems more forgiving. I can’t help but feel Echo is going to release insanely OP and then get nerfed later just for hype. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out 3-4 Hanzo dragons per Echo Ult is crazy.

Yes. She 100%, no-hyperbole renders Pharah completely obsolete. She has much better flight, much better damage, a ridiculously better ult, and more survivability.
Yeah the main attack is pretty fair, the alt fire is insanely good for doing a strafing run. The “Finisher beam” seems to be very good anti tank/anti barrier. I think Mercy got a new girlfriend.
Pharah’s better at spamming damage in chokes (for what that’s worth), and that’s about it.
She’s a DPS.
Which means she won’t be nerfed for years. Crippling a character as soon as they approach viability is for Ts and SUPs.
So she can’t die while ulting, she can fly better than pharah, she has a level 4 symmetra beam, she can technically ‘heal’, she has sticky bombs as annoying as when junkrat dies that don’t really miss as such, and she shoots better Genji projectiles.
What the hell.
I know dps is the fun role. But they really really need new supports and tanks. Like really

As someone who enjoys playing Mercy, I will certainly laugh all the way to the bank with my new best aerial friend.
I don’t think so, her mobility is more so just that, mobility. She doesn’t have the same burst damage that Pharah does AFAIK. It’s just her alt fire that’s on a cooldown.
Yeah the no dying while ulting is a bit too much I think. It’s bad enough she can transform into all hero’s other than herself. I can’t help but think it would of been more balanced if it was DPS only.

Doomfist also was pretty strong at launch, before various nerfs/buffs and changes. Though in general DPS are slow to change. If they are good they remain good, if their bad they remain bad.
Only exception is Torb/Symetra because well you can’t have turret users be good.
you can also pair her with pharah…double air attack…not the sole focus
I was thinking about that, almost entirely air born team. Phara/Echo/Mercy and then what ever for the rest of the team.

Yeah it’s kind of silly that she gets a free 1 up sort of like DVa. In fact she has 3 lives if you copy into Dva…
I think that’s a wise option she should only be able to duplicate into a dps.
I can’t believe they develop these characters and not think they would be op. On paper I’d be like laughing and then be like seriously guys We need to sort this what’s her ability set

She didnt replace Pharah, they’re 100% meant to be played together. Mei is dead dude. Mobility is king.
