To be fair, Junk has been a more usable Pharah for awhile and he performs poorly too.

This mentality of we’re going to make new hero’s with similar abilities which are better than the originals. That’s the problem
Don’t get me wrong echo - amazing. But in a phantasy universe, not in the actual game
I feel like they should change Pharah’s blast radius back to what it was. I can’t speak for Pharah players, since I main Junkrat, but I mean, I’m WANTING a Pharah buff. Only because she can never seem to counter me as Junkrat…
Either that or nerfing some hitscans.

Mmm. I don’t know about that. Pharah is so easily countered. Echo is definitely not. I think if it was up to me, I wouldn’t bother with the Pharah. I’d get someone else with a strong focus, like a Reaper, and utilize a two-pronged attack.
She’ll probably be paired with Pharah+Mercy rather than replace her.
Obviously, but this is still only the first day on the PTR. It’s easier to start high and nerf it to a good level than the opposite.

I mean that effectively wouldnt accomplish much because you’d still just be trying to CC and focus her when she ults, and if she reaches 0 health the ult ends anyways
Don’t forget, WHEN ECHO DIES DURING BARRAGE (INEVITABLE), she respawns back as Echo with full HP.
Pharah goes straight to spawn after pressing Q

No, her ult meter is based on seconds while her health can be as much as a tanks if she copies them.
If getting shot made her seconds wind down faster, she potentially be out of ult before she’s out of tank health.
Yeah that’s stupid. It would make picking a tank effectively useless because you cant properly tank.
could have reworked phara into a decent flying dps…nah lets just add a 17th dps

Maybe, maybe not. We don’t really know what would work since Echo is so new. Everything is just theories.
As it is now, Echo might just fit like a glove into regular OW matches without any need for changes. She also might need radical changes (and I believe she does based on what I’ve seen). Right now, we can only make guesses and talk about possible changes.
Plus, Overwatch is OK with having skills that completely shuts down other skills/make them useless. You can’t even sig ult if an ana’s there because she’ll just stop you with no effort. Same with Bob and a variety of skills. The “time reduction on damage” could always be tweaked to make it less oppressive.
I can’t see a situation where you would play Phara over Echo.
Phara has one of the worst ults in the game. She should have a Brig shield with 500hp that is front facing when she ults.
As Echo you get to choose the enemy hero with the most impact ult, imagine your team using double stacked dragon blades…

She can die while in ult form, it just kicks her out and back into Echo form.
BUT she gets fully healed, so if you ulted with 1hp, turned into Pharah, instantly died, then youd go back to being Echo with 200hp
You must be gold at best, a lot of gold players say stuff like “you cant even x if y hero is there” and it’s just like?? Sig has a projectible shield dude. He can flank with his ult too and come from surprise angles. Sleep is on a TWELVE SECOND cooldown lol. There are still plenty of opportunities to get your ult off. Echo is a hero that poses a question to every team; are we gonna bunker down and trust our hitscans? Or are we going to dive them back lol. It could go either way but Mei is basically dead now imo. Surprised I havent seen anyone else say it yet.
No you must be gold at best, some hero ults are better than others, straight up. Phara will be a troll pick vs Echo.
At very high tiers Echo will be played in every meta, they will build their team pushes around what the other team play. If the enemy has a Zarya, double grav incoming. You simply have to clone the most effective ult.
dont think she will replace pharah, but she might counter pharah. you will know why when she is out.

I still say she should’ve been a shield-based support and not a DPS since…
DPS has a big enough damn hero pool as it is already.
