So... Doomfist Mains

oh poor df… he’s so vulnerable after killing 3 ppl. we should ask the devs to buff him, right? poor thing

so ur saying that every time a doom has engaged me as zen is when a teamfight has already been won, implying that dooms dont engage on zen first??

idk what you’re getting at. No, that’s not what i’m saying. DF always goes for Zen first. And there’s exactly 0 things Zen can do about it.

have you ignored my last several statements? because that post sure makes it seem that way

Easier than others? maybe, but not on the easy side, he is on the hard side

Whoever designed auto correct needs to go to hell

At that point he is basically committing suicide, since he has no way of escaping, that isnt forgiving

The same applies to DF, since his dmg and mobility are tied to the same abilities, since if he fails to get the kill he either runs away having done nothing or tries to get a pick at the cost of his own life

Most other heroes have like half his size

Most of those heroes have considerably more range than him, and an actual gun

Well i deal with him fairly well, you have to use your ears and you know knowledge which you refuse to learn about the hero

i didn’t ignore your comments, i strongly disagree with them, and have a very hard time believing that you have “on average somewhere between a 2.0-3.0 K/D as Zen vs Doom” and that you 5-orb him during his engage every time. I think that happened maybe once in your whole life, and you’re making up the stats out of thin air.

why? because it contradicts ur beliefs? is it really that shocking to find out that other people have somehow magically learnt a matchup, also thats a estimate from a couple hundred zen hours hence why it was from 2.0-3.0 so take it as you will

I just want to see the distance traverseable on RP go back to its previous charge rate while the additional charge period only heightens wall-impact damage.

That and for Seismic Slam to have variable range in an intuitive way. It makes no sense that I can zoom 15 meters horizontally but can’t go even a single meter further at a diagonal off the Gardens tower.

He is honestly really easy to 5-orb unless he attacks at an L through cover, though?

suicide after scoring a kill on any 200hp target of his choice? not exactly a fail. and that’s the absolutely worst case scenario, on an absolutely worst DF player.

Not really, because all of his abilities do a lot of damage and he doesn’t need to use all of them to get a kill. And having more abilities means having more chances to either get a kill or get away or both. Most other heroes, (unlike Echo now, don’t get me started on her) don’t have the privilege of having so many abilities to rely on - they only have few, and fairly defend themselves with those few abilities - if they miss the shot they die. Having too many abilities is cheesy and covers your own failures. Like, if i was playing roulette then idk if i’ll win on 1 spin but i surely win once in 10 spins. That’s DF.

Only Lucio and the female ones, which is a whole other topic. Have you seen Zenyatta’s head hitbox? It’s probably half of DF’s entire body. Besides, none of those heroes apart from Tracer even come close to DF’s mobility. his slightly larger size is already made up for with mobility. Shields is just extra cheese. They were meant for him to deal with the risk of being in the middle of the fight, which he’s in for about 0.5sec at a time anyway, therefore the shields are utterly unnecessary.

Yes but since the hide-and-seek way he is played, range does very little to counter him. It’s almost completely irrelevant.

I have learned all i could about dealing with him. And you know, I do use my ears. I hear his constipated punch warning and i hide like i’m supposed to. And then after avoiding getting hit by it, he proceeds to combo me to death. So yea, you’re right, hearing him really does help a lot.

yes, because i have a lot more zen hours than you, and like you i also try my very best, and i try to learn everything i can about the matchup. But unlike you, i can accept the reality that 95% of the time DF wins the DF vs Zen 1v1 no matter what Zen does, and i don’t make up phony personal stats to brag about on the forums

do you want a crash course on dealing with doom? because i can do that, also hours of practice dont mean anything if you arent practising efficiently

I’m sry if this sounds jerkish, but if you can’t understand that enemy foot steps/sounds (other than ults) are basically inaudible for some of us, you shouldn’t comment, like that wasn’t the first thing I tried.

It’s been more than a year of me trying things.

or if you blatantly lie about your ability to consistently win Zen vs DF. That doesn’t mean anything either

Committing with DF is basically suicide, and the longer you stay on the backline the easier is gonna be for the enemy to kill you and save whoever you are targeting

You forget that DF doesnt have a weapon to rely on, his weapon is literally just filler for his combos

DF 100% relies on his CDs since his weapon plain doesnt work on its own, unlike most other heroes

Doesnt change the fact that overall hitbox is bigger than most heroes in the game, he is massive, his mobility and shields are to compensate that

And even with them, he is a really risky hero, since again, he has low resources, he cant commit without killing himself, and a single stun or push can mess him up badly

If you know your positioning, and even more what DF is able to do, not so much, being on highground gives you a lot of advantage over him, since he has to expend more time getting to you

It does help, then again, you were likely out of position if he got out of that unpunished

you keep calling it a lie when its really not, understanding what doom does makes it really easy to kill him on his engages, thats not a complicated concept

It’s not a volume issue; stuff like enemy footstep sounds have been bugged for many people for a while now.

It’s not “uncountable”. It is countered by shields, map structures, and literally walking out of it. If you think that Ms is uncountable, then you must think Valkerie is an unstoppable Ult.

The thing that doesn’t work half the time and doesn’t give any advantages most of the time? Did they keep Mercy’s super jump, Widow’s grapple launch, Moira’s fade jump, etc? Yes, they did!

Ah, I see you’ll completely ignore any previously stated comments that I have made because I actually have asked for it to be removed, along with other such interactions, such as the ones I previously stated. But you’ll make me out to be whatever way you think will best fit your narrative, no matter what I say.

Considering he’s the most killed Hero per game on average, yes, he’s at risk. Oh wait, you’ll ignore anything that doesn’t fit your agenda. Poor Stanley.

Except it doesn’t. Are you that dense?

With the damage that DF puts out with every ability, the only thing that can save his target is either a Zarya bubble, or a Mei wall. Other than that, healers can keep pumping heals, and DF will still out-damage it by just existing. Sure, he’s more vulnerable the longer he’s in the fight tho, but he’s only in the fight that long if he’s bad and missed the first 3 abilities; and if he didn’t miss them, then he got a guaranteed kill and shields for the road. Where exactly does countering him come in here? Are we going to make up a straw-man scenario here where he’s really dumb and jumps into literally the entire team and then while he’s on one target the rest tear him apart? No, he’s going to find a stray and easily pick them off. There is Always a stray. Because plenty of other heroes and abilities in the game literally punish you for staying too close to your teammates.

What are you talking about? Did i dream up his left click for the last 4 years? And all the times he uppercutted me and left clicked me twice to kill me was all part of my imagination?

The 250 base HP already makes up for that plenty. But hey, i would gladly see his hitbox be reduced if literally every other way he’s broken is also nerfed:

+Smaller hitbox
200hp
100hp shields
less mobility.
less damage.
Done.

But that won’t ever ever happen, will it? Because the DF mains will always cry about the slightest nerfs and want to keep as much of his broken kit as possible.
