So destroying evidence just wasn't enough huh

I’d love to hear about how that game is sometime. I love the Tales series, but dang is that game expensive.

Not on a topic such as this though. This company genuinely disgusts me.

It’s funny. Activision did this before. They used the Fallout 76 canvas bag controversy to cover up accusations of them abusing their employees.

Sadly, it worked.

Almost as if the name change was a targetted PR move because they know exactly how to sweep a mess like this under the rug

Yea if I was a game dev Id either wanna completely own my studio or be an indie dev. I wouldnt wanna work in a Triple A studio in any position. Too many horror stories from the video game industry.

It absolutely was. This is very basic for Blizz. They know how this community reacts. They have us attached to strings like a puppet.

Still baffled how some of you guys cannot mentally separate the OW team (who had no part in abuse or scandals) from the Blizzard umbrella label or from the WoW team

It’s like if there was (hypothetically) abuse going on within the star wars sequel team and studio, and a lawsuit is filed against Disney

But you start getting mad at the Frozen 2 studio. And if they release a previously limited-edition bluray set, you go

“oh they’re just trying to cover up the star wars team abuse! smh, what’s next, theyre gonna make Elsa gay to win wokeness points to distract us? Disney is so corrupt bro”

Or it’s like TENCENT doing bad stuff and you take your rage out on Riot Games and League of Legend’s forums

Yeah this much is true. The Overwatch team was not really a part of this stuff… but everyone just lumps them into ActiBlizz like they’re equally responsible.

Don’t worry guys, we’ll change Mccree’s name, Mac’Aree zone in wow which is also completely unrelated and predates the employee and remove spit because we’re thinking about all the poor victims and reducing toxicity though.

I still call suspicion on the timing of it. The name-change was announced literally, at most, two weeks after the news of Blizz destroying evidence was leaked to the public. Like at the very least, the decision to announce the decision early really, really felt like a PR stunt.

Funny enough it was actually the day before.

imagine getting away with this while falsely banning the accounts of little girls, barely able to play ur game yet falsely reported by 6stacks for sab when they are clearly just having fun and derping in non-comp modes.

this company may as well be fake.
just like fake appeals process brought 2u by robotic process automation aka chatbots.

Don’t worry, they’ll rename another character and everyone will assume Blizzard has changed again.

Not even remotely surprised I called this back when news of the lawsuit first broke on the forums.

Yeah, its like you saw the future, though I don’t think any of us would think it’d get this bad.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s still more yet to come.

one guy in whole company gone bad, and crowd of chimpanzees can’t stop squeaking still.

Wrong publisher lol.

Time to change another character’s name, then. It successfully diverted people’s attention to the document shredding and make Blizzard image much much better in the eyes of some people.

It has worked before, it’s surely will work again! Genius!
