Well first I need some data from you, specifically what is your elo? At the time of writing I was playing in diamond/plat where there are more players than in bronze or grandmaster. (not that you can smurf in gm) At my current elo, which I am at due to an injury, I am noticing more smurfs than I did up in that average elo. My disagreement came from meering many new players in quickplay at the time of the post. These were people who said they were new and played like it too. That said you completely ignored my solution to the problem you are describing, which constituted the majority of my post. If you had a better idea I would have liked to hear it.
Smurfs don’t cause as many issues as you think let me explain why. Lets use a 3500 master player as an example. If this master player levels his own account to 25 and does the 5 placements they would have “ruined” at most 5 games by then. Then they are gaining upwards of 80 sr per win so if they win the first 3 games after ranking 3200 then they would be back at their own elo. This is why smurfs arent an issue. Normal people throw more games and are preforming toxic actions that ruin more games then smurfs. Fix other issues before focusing on a scape goat people use the defend not wanting to actively improve

Blizzard customer support can’t even give you a non-bot reply. What makes you think they would do this?
This game is in the wrong developers hands for that.
I’m T500. Honestly no interest in reading a topic from over 2 years ago because you couldn’t be bothered to answer properly back then.
Now I see what the problem is. It’s you! Your a toxic player that now one likes IRl or in game. Guess what, if you talk to people on the forums like that with no provocation, the vast majority of the player base will leave or throw your games! First of all, your not top 500. Stop lying about your rank. I don’t even have to look at your profile to tell, but here’s proof.

If I was illiterate like you, I would be unable to tell you just like to complain, or that you lied about your rank. I also, like you, wouldnt know what a smurf is. A real top 500 doesn’t worry about smurfs, as anyone who has any brain cells left would realize, as top 500 player is TOP 500. You can’t smurf IN THE HIGHEST SKILL BRACKET IN GAME.
As for your actual skill range (diamond/masters) I highly doubt you have smurfing issues. You are already being qued into top 500 players in masters as that rank is top 1% of the player base. If you want to blame something for unfair matches blame the Blizzard for killing the game which resulted in your elo having top 500s in it.
As for my not posting for FOUR MONTHS, not two years, I was to busy getting hit by a bus and having surgery after surgery. It thought, maybe this guy wanted to continue the conversation about matchmaking, and maybe blizzard will see this conversation and use it to implement a matchmaking fix. I was trying to be polite and help blizzard fix a system that’s been broken for 6 years.
To summarize, learn how to read, learn how to count, and don’t be a toxic manchild.

3 of my GM/T500 accounts, this account is also GM as support but I haven’t placed on it in a few seasons, I’m also GM as tank on a couple of accounts. Also I don’t have a problem with smurfs.
I love how you call me toxic then proceed to be ultra toxic, insult me and tell me about your life when I didn’t even ask, sorry to hear about your accident but it’s really not my problem.
Smurfs have been proven time and time again that they’re not as much of an issue as people think. I think SVB has a great video about it.
If you were capable of reading you would know that I agreed with you from the start. Also, I wasn’t insulting you just pointing out the facts. You can’t/won’t read or count. If you want people to think your literate you should read they’re posts before replying. Also anyone can post a picture, I’ll believe your top 500 when you log in with an account that has a public profile at top 500, not diamond.
You also dismiss my OPINION, not fact, without reading it. (A common theme)
