All smurfs are cheaters because the true newbies can’t learn how to play the characters. I had to learn on my friends level 600 and something account just to get a couple basic characters and how they operate, but I can’t learn any new characters with smurfs constantly and I mean constantly coming on.
Doomfist is one character that smurfs use a lot and I can’t even get one button pushed when these smurfs play any character especially him.
I move to have blizzard deactivate and ban all smurf accounts and give the original account a penalty for having a secondary account. One account per person and if need be have one account per IP Address just to be sure that no more smurf accounts get created and give the true newbie accounts a fair chance to learn the game.
I mean I’m a level 433 or around there and I can only play maybe at most 40% of the characters.
Make overwatch fair and most importantly make it fun again blizzard.

as a daily player of overwatch i second this motion to console/ip ban EVERY ACCOUNT GUILTY OF SMURFING, EVERY ALT ACCOUNT ON EVERY PLATFORM SUPPORTED(PC XBOX PS SWITCH AND THE ONE GUY THAT PLAYS ON HIS LG SMART REFRIGERATOR). PERMANENT IP BANS THAT TRACE ALL THE WAY TO THE REAL (and verified ) MAC ADDRESS OF EVERY SYSTEM EVER USED FOR SUCH PURPOSES…they wanna buy extra account, or create 100 freebies on ps and xbox make them buy a whole new console FOR EVERY ACCOUNT.

I wasn’t wanting a full 100% but I would like to learn to play a few new characters with levels that are “truly equal” to me.
It’s right there in their rules, play nice, play fair. What part of smurfing is nice or fair?

I disagree tbh. You take smurfing way out of proportion and tbh if you can tell they are smurfing that most likely means they are trying to win and get out of that rank so yeah

I think they should find a more efficient and useful method of banning accounts that intentionally throw or stay down in lower ranks. It just ruins the competitive honesty of the game

regardless of why they are doing anything thy are doing the mere fact that they have a “smurf”, or "alt " account which the game then balances the match to the “new ACCount” with little or no data of who to place them with/against for a fair match and thus creates a situation in which people are forced to play with/against someone much higher than their own ability is not only disgraceful but down right dirty. ALL SMURFS RUIN THE GAME SPIRIT OF EVERY OTHER PLAYER IN EVERY GAME THEY ARE IN…

Question, how do you determine a second account? I use multiple accounts with multiple names, so they’re not connected so easy. People have multiple people on the same household and even computer, so same ip with different people are a thing.

soo on xbox specifically if i see an account under lvl 100 (in overwatch) and i click view gamercard- and the account shows that you have under say 1500 gamerscore total but somehow you have been on fire the entire match its a dead giveaway…console lets you create as many accounts as you wish with only one paid membership to the live services… and your gamerscore is a tracker that keeps up with how many"achievements" you have earned essentially…for instance i have 79k+ gamerscore with 1k+ hours on overwatch …i cant be confused as much as say someone with 300 gamerscore with a default profile icon…i simply write these names down on a piece of paper report them egregiously and post their info onto a forum (not this one) for others to report as well…we will find a way to remove you one way or another
Also, bronze players are like gold used to be. You essentially need to be a plat player, in the release days, to get to silver. People have gotten better, and feel like a smurf. But, it’s you who hasn’t gotten better.

It’ll never happen, considering Smurfs (At least on PC) need to buy a new account so they can troll on lower rank players. However eventually the account will get boosted up and now they can’t smurf and need to buy a new one.
And buying new Accounts means more money for Blizzard/Activision, and we all know their stance on making money.
The fact of the matter is. True newbies won’t learn how to play the game as long as smurfs exist. Newbies will say “F*** it!” And not even give the game a second try because SMURFS ruins thier first experience.
Blizzard will have to come up with a way of deactivating the secondary accounts and keeping play fair.
I’ve reported 100’s of smurfs and what course of action did they take? They ignore all of the reports of smurfs and throwing the games, but they would much rather penalize people like me for leaving matches just because of smurfs and people throwing games. I’ve lost thousands of XP because of that reason alone.
Most of the people on here defending smurfs are smurfs themselves guarenteed. So let’s do what Blizzard does and ignore thier posts. Those of us that want to outlaw (ban) smurfs keep on posting and sooner or later Blizzard will have to do something about it.
I mean everyone that is for getting rid of the smurfs we all could just stop playing and let the smurfs fight each other. It would get pretty boring pretty fast for the smurfs considering they are smurfing each other now instead of lower levels.

The best way to get better is to play against better players. Getting punished harder for your mistakes will teach you not to keep doing them.
^ this guys a smurf…they always come out to defend themselves … i dare you to go play against an owl team…ANY OWL TEAM and tell me you learned something…you wont…because you cant operate at their mechanical efficiency nor can you participate in the very specific timings and what-have-you team play they are capable of…you will learn nothing from this experience as they will troll you and leave a bad taste in your mouth for the next 5 games if you continiue to play. you will not have fun and you will not gain any kind of knowledge other than the fact that “you are pathetic at the game” ( this is a psychological effect that occurs after being absolutely wrecked in this game has on folks) so please delete every smurf you play on and choose to better yourself instead of demanding the lower elo players,that you enjoy beating on , enjoy the pub-stomping you obviously need to feel relevant in this community. good day sir.
