Can we stop complaining 24/7 about smurfs to look at the reason why there are so many gm smurf accounts?
No one in gm can queue with more than one friend at a time. How bad is that? One minute you’re playing as a group of friends 6 stacking in masters and you all get to gm. Suddenly the fun stops and you aren’t allowed to play with each other anymore. So naturally you all make an account waaaaaay below your Sr rating, to give you enough space to climb and make it last longer, so you can play with friends again.
Smurfing is a problem blizzard caused, stop having a go at people who just want to play with their friends. Not their fault its duo q only past 4k.

Just fix the problem and remove Smurfing all together. Just because what you described happens doesn’t justify it and it most definitely doesn’t make it okay. Smurfs make competitive experience COMPLETELY PUTRID for literally every single rank bellow gm (master included).

Fix the problem by allowing 6 stacking in gm you mean. Banning every single “sus” profile will cause more problems than solutions.

I mean what else do you expect them to do? They can’t play in stacks anymore so a large appeal of the game goes out the window and you have to trudge through the misery that is solo/duo q.

I don’t know. And frankly I do not care. They could go quickplay? Arcade? Made lobbies? All I know is that going into a comp game, seeing a Widowmaker and an Ashe, both level 30 literally hitting all headshots and SPAWNCAMPING sure is a lot of fun don’t you think? Your freedom ends where the others begin, we have the right to enjoy balanced games on our rank, just because mr smurf over here isn’t happy with how their rank works that’s not my issue.

Virtually no one who plays comp enough to the level where they hit gm, is going to want to play quick play, that’s not how their mentality works. Most gm players play exclusively comp.

How about grouping up with friends and enter the queue rather than relying on a separate account.
How does easy games against lower ranks grant you fun other than to say “GG EZ Noobs” which I’ve seen plenty from smurfs who stomp over us like mad. Like by smurfing. You’re ruining others games.
Thats akin to a bunch of level 12’s in Siege entering into one of their many first games but they get mopped by another 12 on the other team who is Plat because they know all the common spawn peek locations and how to control the map and if they used the excuse “I just want to play with my friends.” Is BS. All you want is easy kills and aces and wins that take no effort.
I won’t accept smurfing as a “Necessity” ever. You think pitting the New York Yankee’s against Grade school TBall is your version of fun, you’re wrong and messed up.

Too bad then. They don’t have the right to ruin the games for 98% of the player base. There are 10000 other game modes they can play for fun, they can even create their own lobbies. Smurfing Will never be respected in literally any game.

Exactly. Why ruin others ranked/unranked games just because it takes you longer to find a match. You can find matches. Its just against other GM as it should be. Rather than “Lets just steam roll our way up to GM.”

I’m not saying smurfing is a good thing, I’m explaining why it happens, and why it’s only in ranked. It’s literally forced into the game from blizzard banning stacks in gm. Solo q is garbage is super tilting.

I understand what you are trying to say. But it still doesn’t make it okay. I really really really wish blizzard found a solution that would end Smurfing because it appears like Smurfing is A HUGE PROBLEM in Overwatch. I don’t really see much of this in other games but it happens constantly in this one, and since it’s a first person shooter it becomes literally almost impossible to even do anything against Smurfs. It’s literally horrible.

It happens in quickplay until they reach level 25 and they then move on to ranked. And ruins matches for literally everyone.
