Yeah looks like they removed the “ping” from the main menu. Even if you turn the option back on in the settings it still doesn’t show up unless you’re actually in a match. This is a bad idea since its pretty useful to know if your ping is normal or not before you enter a match.

I normally have my fps and ping displayed in the top right, however after this last patch adding brigette the game wasnt displaying my ping, and i went to go re enable it and the option was entirely missing. I have very spotty wifi and benefit alot from knowing when and how high my ping spikes especially in competitive, so i can know either to wait to re queue or when exactly it would be okay to re queue. the display ping option is a wonderful tool that i used and relied on and now i cant seem to find it, has it been removed? am i being silly in not being able to find it? or is my game bugged from the update?

They changed the name from ping to latency its still under the video settings under “display advance performance” it just no longer shows up on the main menu. It will show once you’re in a match but like you said it would be nice to be able to see your ping before you enter a match.

Latency was already in options wich you could have next to your ping. Latency and Ping are 2 different things.

It is completely removed!
The question is, Are you blizzard LOVING to ban people from playing overwatch? or maybe cast some penalties!? If i didn’t know about my ping how would i keep on playing in a match without disconnecting! i personally don’t have a stable internet connection so when i see the ping goes high i don’t join a match, and with this stupid step on removing the ping from showing on screen it will make players vote me out as poor teamwork! bring it back please!

The Latency tab is showing ~50 more ms than I got from ping yesterday… anyone else have this?

So, I understand they changed the name from Ping to Latency, but it’s still not showing up. I turned on all of the Advanced Performance Stats, and only 3 of the 5 show up after pressing apply.

I’m nervous now about playing competitive now. I relied on the ping showing to let me know if I was good to go or not for a couple of matches.

Yeah same here, so I usually get 30-38ms which is normal for me being East Coast. However after the patch im getting 65-80ms with no lag at all… This only happens when i am playing in a Mid-West Server or a West Coast server (which is only when i queue with people from that region). Its happening in the Test Range and in QP, I have no lag. When I open the NetGraph it shows I have normal ping though, so not sure what is going on… maybe its a bug with the new LATENCY indicator change?

I actually noticed some really weird engine glitches now:
I died two times when each time I was suddenly moved around by 1 meter + and game “stopping” for a split second, like a freeze, on my death.
This never happened before and I have a 100% stable 500 Mbps line at constant 24ms, there are no spikes or anything and I never had lag problems ever before.
This seems REALLY FISHY. I’d say chances are the engine has been “improved” and they’re trying not to tell us how exactly, for a reason.

I don’t even see it during a match. I just had a game where a widow was killing me behind walls. I was so confused, I check my ping, and it’s not there. It cost us the game.

Same here.
Since it’s been removed, I don’t feel safe playing competitive since I had to rely on my ping being at a good rate as having bad internet in Australia while playing Competitive is hard enough, without seeing the ping is going to be worse.

I LOVED the show ping option because my ping is usually at around 30 but can go into the 100-200 range at random. The latency option only shows 20 for me and never changes. Just put the ping option back Blizzard, please.

LATENCY is a large word, especially when in all caps. can you rename it back to PING, or shorten it to LAT, so that it doesn’t take so much space on the bar. Pretty please!
