This is the second time in OWL 2021 that someone has tried Genji, and soft-threw the entire match; first it was Sparkle, now it’s Profit. In both cases, they provided nothing for their team outside of Nanoblade. It was bad enough that NYXL completely ignored Profit.
When will something finally be done to make him playable?

They do, but I would be hard pressed to say that any of them have been completely ignored in an OWL game.

Go there… Date Range -> Click ‘months’ and let it update. That’s this year’s OWL picks minus yesterday and today. They only update after each weekend.

Heroes like Genji would get picked more if you nerfed the few heroes that are picked like Tracer and McCree to start.
Never been disputed, I think that’d be the case too. Still, there’s clearly an issue if a professional is outright ignored simply because they’re on Genji.

nevermind i see what youre citing now…but i like to use the teamfights page instead cause it actually shows that they were used…35 secs is more than likely spawn room shenanigans only given he actually hasnt seen action

tanks on genji has up til now been reserved for the shock when they decide it wouldnt be fair to play people in their intended roles…

Rechecked the match from early this morning - Profit swapped from McCree to Genji, provided very little outside of Nanoblade, swapped back to McCree. NYXL would have won that game easily if the rest of Seoul didn’t push up.
Even the newscaster criticized his choice of Genji over Tracer.
That’s… an odd choice for Roadhog, definitely. Wish he was more usable in high ranks/OWL.
I think they were trying to stall on attack in that underpass bit point A so thought the heals and resist would work.
And apparently it did! For 35 seconds 
Seoul’s biggest weakness is it’s greatest strength. They have players that are very confident in their ability to pop off on their own, but their teamwork is weaker. They have big swings in their performance that changes with how much the meta favors their individualistic playstyle.
Profit and Gesture also have a history of performing much better in playoffs. They just have to get there first.
True, but it’s worth mentioning that they had a very Genji-friendly composition; Winston/Zarya/Sombra/Genji/Mercy/Ana. They had plenty of enablers that should have allowed him to do something, but he still got ignored for the most part.
