Scoreboard negative KD doesnt mean player is bad

First game im playing this other dps gets rekt on reaper goes soldier still does poorly 3-7 we lose, im thinking what the hell is this player.

Next game im against him, im already thinking of rekting him, but he actually played well, i still won the game but this player was the best player in enemy team and was actually good despite his team being poor, he was the one i had to be more respectful engaging against when before i thought he was a cake walk.

Second Example
Then i had this game with a ashe, we steam rolled enemy team i got carried, they were popping of like hell.
I was like they are so good and better than me.

Then i get them on enemy team next game, and they end up with a negative KD.

This doesnt mean they suddenly became a poor unskilled player.

Its just how this game flows, so if you have someone not doing great on scoreboard doesnt mean they are a bad player or lower skill than you.

In both cases in my example i think both dps were on par with me, but performed differently due to various other factors in the match.

Its just interesting how much the scorecard can not show and give a false sense of the players.

Absolutely.

There are an enormous number of factors that matter why and why things are going badly for someone.

In one game you are called a smurf in the next as mercy main…everyone has probably already experienced.
