Scoreboard negative KD doesnt mean player is bad

First game im playing this other dps gets rekt on reaper goes soldier still does poorly 3-7 we lose, im thinking what the hell is this player. Next game im against him, im already thinking of rekting him, but he actually played well, i still won the game but this player was the best player in enemy team and was actually good despite his team being poor, he was the one i had to be more respectful engaging against when before i thought he was a cake walk.
