Samito is right about one thing

I don’t agree with him that 6v6 is better than 5v5. But the power creep in the game especially on the healing side is insane when compared to classic. He asked his viewers to take note of how much dmg is converted into elims and the difference is insane. I had one game in 5v5 as S76 where it took 2k dmg for me to get my first kill lol. In a classic game I remember having 6 elims with less than 1k dmg. I’m not saying going back to classic OW is the answer but there has to be some kinda of middle ground. Because for all the flaws classic OW had it does feel nice to have a consistency when it comes to killing stuff.

He is more focused on nerfing the Giga Tanks nowadays, isn’t he?

Yes but he routinely complains about support design too.

That’s just what the game needs to be to cater to the Holy Trinity. A necessary evil because they are too greedy to bribe us with freemium currency.

It’s not just healing, it’s sustain across the board

Things die too fast in classic, imo.

There is litterly zero healing and if you are a solo mercy you can like healbot and watch everybody die around you instantly.

An that is without widow lol.

I agree.
In OWC all the clunky heroes are either in the support or tank role. Damage heroes are fun because you don’t feel clunky yourself, you feel like you lack sustain, but you will definitely have some way to burst damage, mobility and range better than half of the support or tank roster, and then players will pick damage, but complain about no one picking tank or support to heal or hold space for them.

He is never right about anything. The guy constantly finds one thing to attach to, so that he can farm views/engagements. He is probably one of, if not the worst “content creators” ever. His ego is so, so big, without anything to back it up.

I cannot wait for Marvel Rivals to release, maybe he will finally move on (he “left” OW 246 times already btw.) for good.

i can see that point and it reminds me of unreal championship/tournament. more of an arena type fps

now overwatch isnt an arena fps but at launch it was more akin to it. now its a real moba hero shooter with mmorpg elements

the beefy tank with supports and damage utility

i mean i like both… i wouldnt mind both versions of the game. of course people like one more than the other…

anyways unreal championship had some sick soundtrack

We’re talking about a version of the game where the strongest heal was Mercy’s beam at 50 HPS. With the skill level of OW players today that’s just not sustainable.

Erm actshually the strongest heal is transcendence.

There is some clunky dps heroes. On reaper you can’t use shadow step while in the air. Also the QoL changes with ledges are gone. Same with cass roll can’t be used in the air. Tracer lost the verticality on blinks. Genji dash feels weird sometimes where there’s this weird delay after the animation ends.

And it’s not frustrating in the same OW2 is. Sure you can kill people quickly in OW2, but only with characters like Junkrat and Widow that feel super annoying to die to.

Doing gods work

I mean we’ve known this for 6 years since the excessive sustain problem began. Certainly can’t credit Samito with this knowledge.

The original dev team openly said one of the goals of OW2 was to rectify this and increase lethality. And they did, for a time. But those devs left and took the lessons they learned with them.

The new devs then repeated all the same old mistakes. But I at least give them credit for realizing the mistakes a hell of a lot more quickly than the old team did. Lethality is way better now than it was a few seasons ago.

It’s still too sustain heavy imo, but I think we’re at an acceptable enough middle ground now.

In a role lock environment I kind accept it. If you nerf healing across the support roster, you gotta compensate with something else cause healing is the main thing for releasing a character in that role, if the character doesn’t have decent healing they better have good utility or else they’d be a DPS or a garbo hero overall.

So, design-wise in role lock, if you want players to play that role (and maybe fulfill that “role” fantasy) and not bottleneck queue times, you gotta allow some heavier sustain to be possible.

The only sane thing Samito ever said was: “That’s it. I’m quitting the game.”

But Samito did not quit the game.

It wasn’t Classic that changed my mind because I’ve been banging on about this for years, but yes, I don’t like the effect on gameplay from the sort of high HPS that Ana and co. have on tap.

I’d love to see alternate versions of the post-release supports that feature much lower HPS.

samito is wrong about everything , he is wrong in making people who follow him believe rq 2-2-2 is viable by sighting oct 20 patch.
