This on quick play and competitive. It’s the only thing that will save this game. I don’t want to fill. I just wanna play whatever hero/class I want to. I don’t care about what can be lost with this change. Same thing happened when one hero limit was implemented.
I remember before one hero limit, One Bastion, One Roadhog, Two Mei and Two Lucio were so fun to play.
but then 6 dva, or 6 syms. were a nightmare to play against.
I’m on the other side of this debate. I want a role q. Now I wouldn’t mind seeing 2 healer, 1 tank, 3dps, or 1 healer, 2 tanks, 3 dps.
But the days of 4 or more dps needs to end. IMO
I’m quite fond of 3 support, 2 tank, 1 dps. Forced 2-2-2, especially in a casual mode like quick play, will create more problems than it solves. If you want 2-2-2, make and LFG group and lock roles
It has cons but I think that overall it will make the game better, especially on quickplay.
Role Queue will prevent you from playing what you want, you know that, right?

Nobody is stopping him from picking DPS. The more I play into this season, the more it’s being verified to me that for most ranks, having a 2-2-2 composition doesn’t matter, what matters is that:
- People are playing what they’re comfortable with
- We have at least one healer
- We have at least one tank
I win way more matches with these prerequisites in mind than I do if people try to fill to make some kind of comp that works in their heads.

There are really only two necessary evils with 2/2/2…
Fewer experimental comps…
and…
Longer wait times for DPS-only players who refuse to flex.
Probably 2-2-2 in competitive would be good, but only if there’s a way to vote to unlock the roles on the hero select screen in case your team agrees to go with a different strategy

Personally I think 3 of a kind comps are bad for the game overall and makes balancing “hybrid” characters much harder.
Forcing 2-2-2 means that Blizzard don’t have to worry about what a hero like Brig or Roadhog can do if you largely eliminate their kits inherent weaknesses by pairing them with two additional tanks or two additional supports.
Brig especially. You could justify her level of power that she used to have by saying that she either needs a main healer to cover her lack of reliable healing, or she needs a Lucio since she’s a melee hero.
You put her in GOATS and she doesn’t have to worry about her unreliable healing or getting into melee range to clobber people, and the end result of balancing her for GOATS is a garbage hero who basically can’t be played anywhere else.
We wouldn’t need it if the community wasnt selfish and actually cared about team composition instead of 4 dps or heroes that dont synergize. Community brought this upon themselves

A role swap is possible, but they won’t violate 2/2/2.
You will have 3 SRs almost guaranteed. I agree 1000 SR is bad.
