She definitely needs more health
Aim was never a problem with Symmetra. It was her survivability. Only complainers cry about her lock on aim when literally she has 0 presence in OwL, I mean come on if her auto lock aim was so great then how come she’s F tier? Can’t be because of lock aim hmm?
She has good utility in this new iteration. But no one will use her, because she had good utility before and she wasn’t used. She had good damage before and wasn’t picked. Because she has no way to survive, absolutely none. She has to set up her teleport to get her escape but she’ll be dead before she can get it off with her low health. She has no stuns, she’s slow, now she can’t do out-damage. She’s basically going to be a cave dweller like she was before and just sit there. She has no advancing mechanics, at least she had her projected barrier before, and again, she wasn’t picked then either.
Listen, I think her new abilities are cool, but she will NOT be picked in comp or in OWL. They need to do 3 things with her beam:

Increase the damage, because it’s too weak especially at such short range. It has to be a threat now, especially since it has no lock on and she can be killed much MUCH easier now. The beam you have to aim has to do damage so people feel threatened to get close. It’s damage is still too weak.

They could increase the range instead. If you are going to take away the lock on then you need to remove the close range. You can’t say, “Now you need to aim” but give her no range. All the other heroes that “have to use skill” actually HAVE range. In it’s current state with weak damage and no more lock on there is no reason for the short range.

Or you could just bring back her lock on. Give her the old version of the weapon. I don’t know why they even changed it. Does EVERY hero have to be played by a sniper elite player?

You mean like Zarya? oh no!
I would hardly call an easily destroyed turret a long range attack.
Zarya has 400 health, a personal (and ally) barrier that can both protect herself AND increase her damage, AND she has longer range on her weapon due to it requiring perfect tracking, just as Symm’s now does.

Wait till you see surprise Dva bombs show up out of no where behind you. Dva puts ult down infront of Sym, Sym places Tele down and the entrance will auto tele the bomb.
Someone already mentioned the Torb relocation, but there is also surprise bastion, tele Bastion in turret mode across the map.
Complaint wise, laser turrets are one hit, i can melee them easy, or aoe wipe them & slow is reduced drastically. Tele can be placed to close to a edge an break itself causing cd.

I was honestly expecting 15m range since the Dev’s said she was medium range, but the 10m feels really short. Also the beam is visually misleading… It looks like it reaches much further than it does.
It’s what 10 dmg more, but 5 m/s slower? fire rate (fully charged) is pretty much the same.
Oh this is good, didn’t think of that, but its really is true.
Not sure if you are talking about the sym right click here or PHarah rocket, if you are talking about Sym then it is not 5 m/s slower, it is much faster.
Has there been comparison testing on this yet? cuz last i heard (according to the Devs):
Pharah Rockets = 35 m/s
Sym 3.0 Orbs = 30 m/s
Sym’s right click seems much faster, based on what I have seen but I will test it now.
If anything her survivability has gone up, if you’re fast enough to set up tele mid battle and tele away.
