First, Did Reyes got reaper’s powers (shadow step, Wraith form) before the incident in Venice? If not what powers is he going to use during the game mode because it would have 0 sense.
Just came on here to ask this question. Would cool to see him with other abilities or have this clarified.

Could be true, but without them clarifying this could be confusing. Originally it said among the community that the powers were given to him after the overwatch collapse (“they did this to me ana”) but now we know Moira enhanced him
eh, it isn’t much of a problem…
I mean Mercy could rez in uprising even though she wasn’t able to canonically perfect her nanobots until later. If she’d been able to, then Genji would be 100% human.

) in Uprising unless the entire squad does. Otherwise they’re just injured. Everyone can revive each other from that state, not just Mercy.

After a few minutes of research I found this :Over time, Reyes began to resent Morrison for receiving the public’s attention while he received none. He began to organize a rebellion within Overwatch that ultimately led to a conflict at the Swiss Headquarters, resulting in an explosion that supposedly killed both Reyes and Morrison. It was during this rebellion that he had enlisted Moira, who aided him in changing his genetic makeup, giving him new abilities. So this happened after the “Death of Reyes and Morisson” so during the retribution Reyes was not able to use Reapers abilities.

Well that may be true, but because they are down (I’m assuming that the agents can take a hit) it’s a mortal injury (hence it leads to death). The rez tablets and mercy’s own rez really conflicts with lore, as again, she should have been able to fully bring back the mortally wounded genji as a human, not a cyborg. Also, another thing that may point to mercy not having the technology during that time is torb having a prosthesis later. If mercy had the perfected rez technology, she would have been able to reconstruct torb’s hand fully

Didn’t Michael chu more recently say they were friends and that Reyes supported Morrison getting the role?

I don’t think the rebellion would already be underway. Uprising took place one year after Retribution and blackwatch was helping overwatch still.
