Rework suzu and nade and discord at the same time

Every time I don’t pick kiriko, I pray to god they don’t have ana. And they always have. I don’t know if this game would be playable if there was no kiriko. All 3 abilities are busted. I think it’s a terrible design when a hero is sacrificing nothing and cancels the enemy abilities or cancel the enemy entirely, like Zen does. It’s a good design when you have a powerful ability that people need to respect, like nemesis form, or let’s say lucio speed amp. But every time one char cancels fun for others, the game becomes unhealthy.

It’s fine if Mei is freezing people with Q, cuz it’s Q, it’s gonna happen 2-3 times. You should reduce the amount of abilities that cancel another character’s abilities or cancel the entire char. I hate forced switching. I want to play the heroes I want to play. It’s a freaking game after all, no?

Here are some ideas for reworks.

Nade - make it that it reduces healing for 35% for 5 seconds. 0% heal for almost 4 seconds is an absurd, especially in 5v5 where deaths are way more impactful.

Suzu - make it targeted throw, like Brig’s E. Let it cancel one death, that’s it. No cleansing, no canceling enemy abilities, no invulnerability. You throw it on the guy, he starts glowing. If his life reduces to 0, 60% life will restore immediately. If he doesn’t die during the effect, reduce the cooldown for 5 seconds. Let’s say 15 to 20 sec cd for this should be fine.

Discord - make it 15% damage eating, not 25%. It’s an absurd. Yall attacking mercy for one char 25% boost, but this guy increases the damage for 25% for all 5 members of the team at the same time. And make it with 7 seconds cooldown. The cooldown starts when the discord comes back, so there’s at least some counter-play.

Or you can have your own changes, I don’t care.

Yes these are nerfs, but I don’t see any other options here. It’s getting really annoying.

And yes, I know that there are some counterplays to these abilities, don’t bother writing. I am just saying that it’s anti-fun. I don’t want to hug the wall and afk for 3 seconds and then immediately get the discord back. I don’t want to always play a tank that has at least something to offer against ana nade if my team has no kiriko. I don’t want to build an entire ult and then have it canceled in a second with one touch of button with 0 efforts. It’s not fun to cancel others, it’s not fun to create such huge power gaps.

Oh, well in that case, we had better rework it a$ap. Actually, instead, let’s just nerf them into the ground and set the rework for a date TBD.

Have you considered playing dva, zarya, or sigma…

Three tanks that are very strong into Ana zen.

Have you considered diving?

Wrecking ball and doomfist

Have you considered ow in a balanced state requires countering your counter?

It’s not a nerf to a ground. Everyone complained about mercy nerfs, put her on C and D t tiers while she is still god hero. Sojourn got countless nerfs and still is a god hero. Just because something is nerfed, it doesn’t mean it’s destroyed.

Whatever the changes are, I just think the current state of these abilities are broken and unhealthy.

Have you considered not playing heroes that you hate just because blizzard doesn’t want to fix obviously broken abilities? It took us 4 months of begging to fix hog oneshot btw… And all they did is to decrease some numbers in the game code, which is like 5 minutes or something.

I am not good at it and I don’t enjoy it.

Countering is when in OW1 mcree was throwing flashbang on top of the rein shield, and reins started to look up with shield, then mcrees started to flashbang their feet, and reins started to look up and down at the same time. But to pick kiriko just because you have one busted nade and I cannot use suzu in any other ways rather than cancel your canceling, is it fun? Ana cancels my tank, and then my tank is canceled falling back, I have to cancel Ana’s cancel, so my tank can be enabled? Is this fun?

I truly believe y’all will complain about anything at this point

What complaints do you see here? I am just describing an average gameplay session.

Well Ana zen and Kiriko can all be forced to swap.

Unfortunately that’s ow.

It’s like loving pharah and hating hitscan.

If you don’t feel like even interacting with the enemy’s supports and you are hard carrying and need to be shut down…… people will often go Ana or zen bc it can cut through healing.

Counterpicking almost becomes necessary to get past diamond.

I do agree with looking at all three of these abilities, but i don’t agree with the nerfs you’d apply.

Especially suzu- far too harsh.

I don’t think so. Adapting makes it go higher. Counterpicking works for diamonds only because people don’t know how to react to counter-picking.

As a Zen secondary, I don’t mind making it 15%. But making it have cooldown is a big no no. At least give some compensative buffs for Zen to make up for it

How do you adapt to widowmaker across the map cherry-picking your team… if you are playing orisa? What’s the adaptation? The adaptation seems like counterpicking to sigma or a dive tank.

Or asking your team to swap around for you so you can keep playing the hero you want to

If you can counterpick you can carry harder.

Or you can always be that guy begging for people to swap around you.

That’s why Zenyatta design is brilliant, he can use Discord as much as he wants because he has NO mobility, low healing and he has one the easiest, if not practically the easiest hitbox to shoot at in the game.

Ever heard of the term “Glass Canon”?

Characters with ridiculous damage output in exchange of terrible defensive options.

These changes are horrible. Suzu just gets turned into a worse Baptiste field. To be fair, I don’t think your nade change was that bad, maybe like a 20% or 25% healing instead of 35. For suzu honestly just keep the cleanse and healing but take the immortality away. And for discord keeps it the same and add a cooldown when you use it p, so that way you have to be smart about who you give it to instead of just constantly switching between people. Again, that’s IF you wanna nerf these people. Personally, I don’t even see a problem with any of these abilities in the first place. I feel like they can either be countered if you play smart, or just don’t have that big of an impact anyway.

why would i think of a counter strategy and play the actual game the way its supposed to be played by switching characters mid game to counter the enemy comp which is also the one thing that makes ow unique in a ocean of dead fps titles when i can just ask the universe to reshape itself to my liking ?

you HAVE to switch to a cass and show that pharah that you can hit her even if for just one kill . they will see that you got that skill set in your arsenal and switch off … right ?

you HAVE to bully the widow ea time she tries to set up even if for just one kill . so you switch to a dive and dive her you dont contest her at medium range
