Revert Sombra LoS nerf

After playing Sombra on my alt account for quite some time this season, I realized that what’s killing Sombra isn’t the 2 second cooldown from hack when she takes damage (although it’s insanely annoying, and should have an amount of damage to trigger the cooldown), it’s the changes to hack’s LoS.

This nerf has caused a huge amount of bugs (which have littered the forums, or you can check Fitzy’s twitter), and has caused hack to become clunky and inconsistent, to the point that running Sombra can be risky, just because her kit might not work correctly at all! At this rate, Sombra is the buggiest Hero in the game, almost on the level of old Doomfist. This needs to be fixed!

To completely different things, also Roadhog isn’t in a bad spot, he’s just not a must pick atm.

But I agree the line-of-sight nerf to Sombra really hurt her, the 2 second disruption cooldown was reasonable but this makes Sombra too situational considering how easy it is to stop hack as well.

Agreed, OP. They need to either just remove the LOS changes or amend them.

I imagine Blizzard’s seen all the bloody posts about this since it’s been going on for weeks, but as far as I’m aware no one on the team has made a public statement about it. I hope they’ve got a solution.

Id be happy for them to fix the bugs even tho i dont play sombra, I wouldnt be happy if they reverted it to where she could hack through walls and invulnerable abilities.

The LOS change didn’t really fix this. I’m still hacking frozen Meis, through shields, and Tracer’s recall once in a while.

Welp ive never had it happen to me since the nerf, so im happy about that.

OW has this mechanic where if you activate an evasion ability and a CC within what I assume is the same server refresh then it does both things.

It’s annoying sometimes, but it is what it is. It’s way better than the old “activate recall within 0.2 seconds and Sombra keeps hacking you for half a second of invincibility” that came as a consequence of her old grace period + lag.

Don’t worry, Blizzard release content at super slow pace so they can give us quality … OH WAIT … THEY DON’T !!!

Yes please, hack is the worst it has ever been because of this Los change. The counterplay to Hack is being hit and the 2 second delay afterwards. The Los changes makes hack so inconsistent. That’s why her pick rate is so low. Hack is worthless.

This needs more likes. This is really one of Sombra’s main issues and it’s being ignored and set aside. Fix hack and Sombra will have a place in the game once more.

Roadhog could one-shot people through galaxy, spin them like a fidget spinner. Sombra can hack. That’s all.

How?

They don’t want the 0.1s leniency back because that allowed her to hack enemies in their invulnerability abilities and behind shields.
But it was this leniency that made her hack consistent because the 0.1s leniency allowed the LoS to not to be interrupted by poles and such.

So how would you fix hack without giving it its leniency back? I for one think the cool down on a failed hack needs to be removed. That’s just overkill.

I too want too see hack fixed. Sombras is my second most played hero, but after her changes do I not feel playing her anymore. Which is a shame because I really enjoyed playing her.

LOS checks SHOULDN’T be reverted. There should be compensate for this change. Like when Blizzard fixed Rein’s hammer, found out that fixed hammer is bad and increased AS by 10%

This is true, and I am so sad.

You sort of have to allow for it, especially as there’s apparently no fix for the LoS bugs incoming. Imagine if they removed leniency and all hitboxes had to be shrunk to the player model and all projectiles also had to have to their hitboxes shrunk down to pixel size.
