Revert Reaper Shotgun changes and just decrease spread

So basically what the reaper shot gun changes did, is they made Reapers spread pattern like a Target. The bullets form one outer circle that covers the edge of the spread, a middle circle and finally a dot in the center.

The problem with this, is that most bullets end up on the outer circle. Making it effectively worse than normal.

Instead of the randomisation change they should just decrease the spread by 10-15%. Or maybe keep the randomisation change, but make it so more bullets land in the middle circle or center dot.

Because right now it’s literally a nerf and it takes more shots kill people on PTR than live.

Sad that the devs actually nerf characters when they mean to buff them

It is completely laughable that 12 of 20 pellets are engineered to spread out as much as possible, considering how small and accurate hitscan hitboxes are.

Wow you definitely read the thread and saw how the shotgun changes were actually a nerf, not a buff.

Unless of course you’re a gold who thinks reaper is op and wants him to be even more trash

Don’t be too quick to assume. I’m a plat reaper main. Reaper has been for months and weeks out of the spotlight and countered and killed by everyone he’s supposed to kill. The decrease of his pellet’s spread is what he needed. The extra HP Gain is Exactly what he needed to sustain more in a team fight and be more of a threat. If you think Reaper has to become more of a trashy hero. Then you sir. you’re out of your mind.

He has to be breathing on them to do anything. Even at his effective range there are still characters better than him. A shorter spread would’ve made him a lot more consistent and close range, and would’ve helped increase his effective range

All the shotgun problems just show how far behind Blizzard is to make a good FPS. Like its not that damn hard to make a good spray pattern that dosen’t have RNG in a competitive E-sport “ready” game. CS:GO has fixed spray patterns for all its shotguns and they feel great to use. And in TF2 all the shotguns in competitive servers also get a fix simple 3x3 bullet pattern!

I want them to revert the shotgun changes and just decrease the spread instead. Which will actually buff reaper

Yeah I saw the thread on reddit where they analyze the changes. After killing 20 bots at a certain range it took aprox. 30 more shots than what it did before the spread changes.

It’s a huge nerf.

This absolutly baffles me. If it was a purely casual game with no plans for a competitive mode or a e-sports league sure. But a competitive multi-player shooter with as much RNG as OW has is just upsurd. I guess we might aswell add random crits to competitive and tripping into OWL since they don’t care about consistency.

Jesus this needs to be fixed ASAP. Even with the extra 10% lifesteal im not sure if reaper will actually be better on ptr than live

Lol seriously, what RNG? When I fire a sleep dart I either hit or miss. When I throw a flashbang I either land it or I don’t.

You want RNG, go play Hearthstone.
