As soon as the enemy switches to Widowmaker, you are playing THEIR game. You often have to pour all of your resources into dislodging the Widowmaker, or switch to your own Widowmaker. The only other hero in the game that does this is Sombra.

Not really. I can easily walk out of their line of sight since it’s not that hard to move my character and suddenly I’m perfectly safe wow shocking how that works.

Just because Widowmaker is ‘high skill’ doesn’t make it okay for her to be broken. If a hero is overpowered, they’re overpowered.

True but sadly Widow isn’t OP. People getting better with a hero and mastering said hero doesn’t mean they’re overpowered it means the player is good with said hero.

Heroes with the capability to one-shot across the map need to be kept on a leash. They are already a problematic addition to a game like Overwatch, because the way that a sniper plays is not in line with how Overwatch as a game is meant to be played.

She is. She has weaknesses like any other hero. She has 1 mobility option on a long cool down, she is garbage at DPS in short range and if more than 1 person focus her in said short range she 90% of the time will lose that fight and die.

The only role who is going to effectively do their job this way is Support, this isn’t a viable answer for DPS or Tanks.

The tanks have every option in the world to avoid being head shot by widow. Unless it’s mid-fight or you’re being profanity removed you aren’t going to die to a widow on Tank. And stop acting like Widow shouldn’t be killing anyone and when she does “omg she’s overpowered she killed a soldier dammit Jeff delete widow already she KILLED my soldier while he was running around”

You seem to not understand, that there is always someone better than you. That he is GM and thus better than most players does not mean that he can improve to handle widdows instead of complaining they are op.

Because when you jump the Widow, she has reactionary mobility to get away again. She’s always able to be one-step ahead of you. Yes, her mobility has a longer cooldown than Winston’s jump per-se, but in that time the Widowmaker can easily make her way back to the safety of her team. If the Winston were to continue chasing, he’d be overextending and feeding.

You’re missing the key word here. Reactionary.

Widowmaker will always use her grapple hook to get away while you’re jumping or just after you land. There’s nothing that jumping her will do if she’s not in your range any more.

She isnt broken persay. She just is a character that players can exploit because of their skill level.

Theres only so much defensive measures you can take without dying to her constantly.

Its why i feel extremely high skill ceiling characters like her and Ana and Hanzo need to be balanced better then how they are now, and not left to be balanced the same way as Soldier imo.

Their limitations are greatly reduced compared to heroes like 76. And i feel like a bunch of people miss that. Thats why i DO believe they need some kind of limitation added to them. Whether that be falloff or something else that normally wouldn’t be on a hero like them.
