Reinhardt's ult is outrageous. I am sick of the biased treatment of his AOE 4 second stun

I hate Rein’s ultimate and it’s a huge contribution to the CC over saturation. People keep saying CC is bad for the game and that it’s toxic.

Guess what? I agree that the CC is out of control but let’s direct our attention to the literal #1 picked hero in the game who is almost mandatory or you lose outside of dive comp: Reinhardt.

Let’s stop cherry picking that Reinhardt’s ult that is a literal 4 second AOE stun that literally determines entire team fights single handedly is fun or fair to play against.

“But losing control of my character to baguette is not fun!”

OFC IT IS NOT FUN!

But know what else isn’t fun? Having my entire team stunned for like 4 seconds.

I don’t care if it’s an ultimate, it’s absolutely anti fun and awful to lose control of my character for that insanely long of a duration and there is boo all I can do about it if my Reinhardt doesn’t have his shield up.

-> No counterplay outside of hoping my reinhardt has his shield.

-> Lose control for 4 seconds for the entire team.

Yeah if I could do something on my own I wouldn’t care. But outside of Moira and being EXTREMELY fast on fade there is nothing I can really do.

I mean hitting shift and trying to flip backwards on Ashe is futile, as is almost every other hero. Mercy’s GA is also way too slow and that is often referred to as one of the most powerful mobility abilities.

It’s a really helpless feeling and I resent it.

I think earthshatter itself is fine, the problem is just that the only reliable counter to it is to have a Reinhardt of your own.

It’s true the majority of CC in a GOATs comp comes from the Rein. People sleep on it a lot.

He’s one of those heroes where the best counter is himself (like Widow or Ana). Annoying.

Outrageously buggy.
I have had more Rein wtf moments than any other hero.

  • Killing Reinhardt.
  • Invulnerability abilities for some heroes.
  • Blocking LoS.

His stun can be annoying, but it does has more counterplay than just a barrier counterplay.

What do you think of Zarya’s and Mei’s ultimate?

did you even see it earlier today in contenders? They shattered like 2-3 times but yet it did nothing lol, it’s bugs need fixed first

Stunning and killing and invulnerability are effective regardless of how potent the ability is.

And blocking LOS can be a thing I’d agree, but for most heroes it’s just way too fast (I know it has a slight delay) for them to react and get out of the way :frowning:

Ultimately leaving the feeling that it’s very unfair to get hit by it for most heroes. I mean yes technically you can kill the reinhardt or stun him, but the same could be said about doomfist or launch mccree or launch widowmaker.

A 900 IQ Winston or Zarya bubble can stop it too.

Winston’s bubble has a very long cooldown, and Zarya’s bubbles don’t cover much area. The keyword is “reliable”.

There is no need to 900IQ Winston, just take reinhardt player and give him winston, usualy he would know when other rein gona ult.

Shatter is REALLY buggy, but it’s the second best tank ult. It’s so good that Supercharger can’t hope to compete.

You’re not wrong, but you have to admit it’s pretty funny when the Rein get’s surrounded by Winston’s bubble or blocked by Zarya’s small bubble.

Ah yes, Earthshatter, more like Bugged-as-Hell shatter. I mean for christs sake sometimes it doesn’t hit when it clearly should.

For me more funny is when i picked winston on moon map, and reinhardt from other team swich out after i block 3 of his ults.
I guess he got mad when i start to tbag in front of him inside my shield…

What bothers me is how much harder it got to block / evade Reins shatter after the most recent round of bugfixes.
