thats not very true considering most pros are in NA now
thas a 3head take you don’t lose your best players and those who put the most time into the game. balacing around high level makes the game fair for everyone because no one gets put at an advantage.
Maybe they dont want to. OWL isnt really fun and streamers can make more money while being their own boss

Balancing for power level at high ranks makes sense. Balancing for variety at GM does not.

First of all:
We cant say that yet just because they signed 2 good players, we havent seen then in action
Dallas fuel for example has really good players, but in the Tournament they played they sucked and acording to a leak it is also one of the weakest teams in scrims. Never assume someone is strong just because of a few good pickups
Second:
I was only looking at Season 3 rosters, because we cant tell yet wich Season 4 rosters are good and wich are bad
Last time that I checked, the Shock repeated as World Champions in America. I’ll trust whatever they come up with.
this is basically true of any unsure era tho, whenever we dont know what the meta is or even if it stabilizes in a semi balanced state, NA absolutely LOVE rein, EU give pharmercy a try every chance they can, and KR have the winston gods and love to dive. Its been this way ever since I started playing in s3
The only time all servers play the same comp at t500 level on ladder is when theres a hard meta thats been set by apex or OWL
Finally, a fellow well-liked forum user who also at least is interested in OWL, I love OWL myself
honestly weve become worse players in eu i feel in terms of our positional play like i miss the days of split teams getting map control in ladder. I’m so sick of people forcing mid and lowgrounds ZzzzzzzzZZZZzzz

I like the NA/EU style emerging. American Tornado is really good.
I haven’t seen any Chinese Contenders yet either.
They are but they lost to Revival for March, both teams are really strong right now, it was an incredibly close final that went to 7 maps.

I will say that’s pretty fasinating between Asia and Americas top 500.
Americas is pretty much Rein/Zarya, Baptiste/Lucio, McCree, then a variety of last flexible DPS slots taking top 500.
Asia is very different. Winston/Zarya/Hammond as tanks, Brig/Ana/Zen as supports, and Tracer/Ashe/Widow/McCree.
