So here’s the result of what happened. I tried to explain to my team that this is what goes down every time.
Our bronze Roadhog/Rein/DPS will literally watch reaper/tracer/winston shoot me in the face.
Even as I called out “Roadhog reaper behind you. They’re on me help!” They’ll turn around. I’ll power boost assuming they have reaper in their line of sight. Surely they’re going to help?
They do not help. It’s like they are thinking “Lol. They aren’t shooting at me. Gotta get to the control point. I’m not going to attack the enemy.” Also watches as reaper does the same thing to Zen.
The second time it happens me and Zen stop healing instead I have my pistol ready. I shoot reaper. I do some damage but still die. Reaper also kills or heavily damages Zen. Enemy team later follows with a killing blow to Zen.
I watch my team on death cam jump on the point 4 to 5 times with no healers. Enemy goes straight for the kill, on point, easy with no healers. My team dies quickly each time.
I explained to Roadhog and my DPS that they’re playing like friendly healers aren’t important. This Reaper disagrees with them though because after the 3rd and 4th push they realized they didn’t even need to teleport and be sneaky about focusing the healers. They literally just ran straight passed Roadhog (because he knew if he didn’t shoot at friendly Roadhog, he wouldn’t shoot back) and ignored him and shot me. Then later Roadhog would be an easy kill.
I played solo for a bit with comp control.
I got silver and gold players who when I called for help. They constantly turned around and attacked the enemy. I was in a 6 game win streak. Won 150 SR for the first time in my life.
I’m going to record it if it happens again and play it back for the team so they can see where they need to improve because It’s a pretty predictable problem.
Even if I die as long as Roadhog or whoever attacks the enemy they’re helping the entire team out.
Now that my team sees my SR went up after leaving them for a couple of hours they seem to be listening to me a bit more.

How in the world is Reaper killing you as Mercy. You are like a million times faster than him with Guardian Angel. I could understand if he was getting Zen, but if Zen is the first target then if you heal him Zen can often win the fight with Reaper. It’s extremely hard for a single dps to kill supports if they heal each other and take the fight.
Arzoo I looked at your post history and pretty much every comment you made is negative or unhelpful. I think you’re just a troll.
After all you can see I have acknowledged that some of this was due to my own lack of skill. I literally picked up the game last month. Everyone else has been playing for the last two years. That’s why I asked for advice. After taking the advice I was doing better. But your comment doesn’t even acknowledge this. That is why I’m assuming you’re a troll.
Did you bother reading into his comment instead of being offended over nothing?
He literally gave you the best solution to your problem.
Reaper cannot 1 shot Mercy unless he’s right next to you (which you should’ve noticed before he got so close), use your far superior mobility to escape to a teammate, and call it.
If using comms doesn’t make your team-mates pay attention to the reaper, you can’t do much on Moira/Mercy but keep evading.
Zen can’t escape, is easier to kill, but has a fairly equal ground against a Reaper/Tracer if you help him. Work together with the other support.
Yes and if you actually read the previous post someone recommended that but I brought up the fact that they attack and intercept as we’re going around a corner so I can’t lock on to guardian angel. But you didn’t read it either did you? He wasn’t being helpful. He just shaming me and telling me how bad I am at the game and telling me what a bad person I am for not being a pro gamer.
You only read his first sentence and ignored everything else. With all due respect, reading 2 full posts to give an answer is not something everyone would do.
How often do you get killed “around a corner” so fast that you don’t have time to walk a couple more steps for GA? It’s either a very niche situation (which can happen, nothing to do here), or you are often out of position.
Keep up with your team, look around for flankers, don’t walk in straight/predictable lines.
Use your mobility to get to places where Reaper will struggle. Your tanks have large health pools/defense abilities so they don’t need your beam every time they change color to yellow. Use those moments to fly to your DPS/mobile allies on high-rounds and so on.
Look I know it makes you feel better by assuming what I read and didn’t read. But I read the entire thing. I’m not going to argue with you too boost your ego.
I don’t know what anything here has to do with my ego, but you are definitely trying to protect yours, instead of taking some criticism.
I don’t need to assume anything, I can’t say Arzoo has the best structured comment, but if you truly wanted help, you would take the important part of it.
Some1 Said its hard to kill support with reaper. Reaper can and will murder those healer If you dont deal with him, the starter of this topic plays in Silver?, So most players arent that good there to deal with him.

Mercy and Moira both has the tools to escape from reaper, IF reaper dont get chance to shoot first. Try to position ur self in place where u cant Be dived too easily. Keep track about your surroundings and always plan ur “escape route” before ur flanked. Depending ur rank you can however take 1vs1 against reaper with Moira and Even win that (If reaper knows how to engage there is no chance however.
Most “dive reapers” start shooting usually too early so they cant oneshot you, use this as ur advantage . When you hear his teleport, footsteps or shotguns use Guardian Angel to get high ground.
Its sad that ur team won’t listen to ur callouts tho. Reaper is pretty up hero atm but once you let him close in your backline that underpowered hero becomes pretty terrifying. Afterall We are talking about hero that deals 560 damage/second in best circumtanses.
In short dont try to duel reaper, once you Even smell his presence Guardian angel to ur reaper counter and hug him
also that swedish shieldmaiden healer ^^ counters reaper pretty hard, you can play with her too.
