What didn’t you like about Dragons, OP?

Honestly, it might just be that I don’t really like Genji all that much as a character. I think he’s just kinda boring. Other than that tho I can’t actually think of anything I dislike about Dragons, so maybe my ranking was a bit lower than it should be.

I don’t think that any of them deserves to be under 4/5 tbh.
My favs were honor and glory and dragons.
The Soldier one was the least exciting. Jq was hype and I rly liked her.
I thought that the dialogue in the ow2 cinematic was a little bit too stiff (especially Mercy’s part).
But I love them all.
I am extremely sure that I could link images although I only posted like 40 times.
I made it 3 times to trust level 3 and itALWAYS was when I was around 2.5 days recent read time (I paid attention to that).
So, this makes me believe that this is the most difficult criteria to hit or what prevents anyone else from getting it.
I know everyone has their own opinions, but Dragons being that low immediately invalidates the credibility of this list I’m afraid. It is top tier story telling in such a short space of time that it embarrasses most big budget Hollywood movies. I don’t even like Genji and Hanzo as heroes, but their short made me invest hard. Brilliant set up, pay off, writing, atmosphere, drama, emotion. It’s the best alongside Reinhardt’s.
If anything invalidates my opinion it should be the fact that I genuinely like Sonic 06.
But yeah, I did rate it lower than I should’ve since I just think Genji is boring and didn’t really think about it much beyond that, tho I still prefer most of the other shorts to it.
Kiriko’s, Alive, Dragons, Recall, Infiltration and Honor and Glory are the only acceptable 5 stars.
Everything else was terrible. I can’t believe you put Bastion’s as 5.
Whoa, you didn’t like Bastion’s? It’s the only one I’d put at 5/5 myself.

Maybe it is just my bias as a (former) Bastion main, but I do genuinely think it’s the best one. I love that it tells its story without a single line of dialogue and the visuals are just gorgeous. Makes me a little teary-eyed every time I watch it tbh. And also just personally there’s some symbolic details in its story that I find very relatable, and I would elaborate on that but honestly I think it’s kind of funnier to just leave it at “I relate to the nature loving killer-robot, 5/5”.

o yea the second one is the ingame kings row archive origin story, forgot that you have those listed. i find that one wierd since the timeline on the kings row archive is like 10 years before launch overwatch? so tracer is like 16 in that story which i find it hard to believe a 16 year old being a soldier or someone you have to depend on lol
edit: googled kings row timeline and found this “The King’s Row Uprising took place seven years before present-day Overwatch” …so that means tracer was 19 when that took place… believable i guess? young for a soldier cadet special agent
I saw the leaked Kiriko cinematic and enjoyed it more than the real one because it was entirely in Spanish, so the terrible writing couldn’t ruin it for me.

Like literally nothing happened in the cinematic… 7 minutes long and hardly anything happened.
