Randomly during games, my game will freeze then suddenly, its as if all of my keys are different. For example I can be pushing ‘w’ to move forward but it will act as if I have pressed random keys on my keyboard. This doesn’t always happen straight away. Sometimes I can play one normal game then the next halfway through it will happen. I have tried closing and reopening the program. I have tried restarting my computer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Overwatch but nothing has fixed the issue. It’s not an issue with my computer as I have no troubles with it in any other program. But I have heard of other players experiencing the same thing, just not at the severity of which its happening to me. How can I fix this?
That honestly just sounds like a keyboard issue rather than a game issue. Have you tried a different keyboard?
I have been having the same issues, it only happens in overwatch and seems to happen randomly.
Either your Qwerty layout changed to Azerty or somehow you have broken your keyboard.
This could be caused by spilling a liquid or cleaning your keyboard by soaking it in water, otherwise it could be the keyboard software that is causing this.

I can confirm the issue that you have because I have the same issue, the keyboard gets randomdized keys. When I press “W” it starts with “/” and some other keys. It has happen so far about 4-6 times for me at random.
Im using a Logitech G915 lightspeed keyboard and a Logitech PRO X superlight mouse.
I believe it started after I installed windows 11.
This has been happening to me for a while. Sometimes it won’t happen for a bit and then sometimes it just kick in - my movement keys do nothing and are randomized each time I press them. For example when I try to type the same thing in chat twice while this is happening it’s always different, for example typing “wtf” could be “/-3” and then “qa=”. I have a cloud nine keyboard but keep in mind this only happens in Overwatch. Even after 2 came out.
I have had this same exact issue also. Happens what appears randomly, and the keys won’t input the same when the same key is pressed twice. I have to run my hand over, mashing all the keys, which appears to fix the issue.
The issue you have I no longer have.
But since then I had re-installed the game on another drive.
I dont know if that could fix it.
Even if it does it is a matter of time before you get a new one.
Currently got updating error that never goes away. Fun time trying to join matches when I get locked out and kicked out of the game…
