Ramattra is too gentle

He feels too “Disney”.

With humans insulting the omnics as “scraps”, “tin cans”, etc.

Somehow Ramattra can’t insult the humans back no matter how angry he is, he could have insulted the humans as “meat sacks” like the Poison Ivy did.

If Orisa could insult the Junkers as “Junk!” after she killed any one of them, then why couldn’t Ramattra insult the Junkers as “Junk rotten meat”, “May the maggots feast on you”.

Being the better man I guess. he want peace not war, but he doesn’t have a choice but to fight for omnics survival.

He’s too classy for petty name calling.

Pretty sure waging war on humanity and crushing countless lives under his giant omnic boot is proof enough he’s not gentle, though.

And somehow some heroes continue being goofy and cracking silly jokes when there’re people dying & suffering; omnics being abducted and forced to serve Null Sector’s cause.

I love Ramattra’s writing as a villain , at first i thought he was gonna be an edgelord terminator but actually i can sympathize with him , i for once welcome our omnics overlords

Sounds good but I feel sorry for his voice actor though (unless he allows it).

He does call you an insect when blocking to be fair

Ok, weird take, I know, but it might be ‘positive racism’. Like ‘Asians are good at math’. Omnics are just oppressed and really the good guy struggling to survive so they can never do anything that’s seen as controversial. A sentient, intelligent, racist Omnic would muddy the waters of the four-color comic book. Zarya can be racist to Omnics, but they have to be misunderstood, not racist, towards her.

It would have been interesting if they had gone 1960’s Black Panthers political rally type language with him. Really make it a little uncomfortable. OW is too pastel for that, but I would have kind of been into it.

Dunno how juvenile name calling would somehow made him more “hardcore”.

The main reason is that because the school won’t stop throwing us with classwork + homework exercises. Plus, they tend to rush the syllabus.

There’s a reason I went into humanities in college. If I ever see another quadratic equation, it will be too soon.

Because, he was trained as a pacifist…

I disagree, OP. The appeal of Magneto-type characters to me is that they are intelligent, civil and courteous, but despite that they’ve tragically taken a dark path. That makes for a more nuanced character than one that goes “eat crap and die, meatsack!!” or whatever after a kill, imo.

I think because Ramattra considers himself to be the good guy and humans as evil.

Yea he doesn’t fight out of hate but out of a pecieved need.

Which is reflected in his dialogue.

As for Disney not sure any character in Disney acts like he does.

I think Ramm is too clever to alienate potential allies/victims with a throwaway remark. Far better to get them on your side or get their guard down. Meanwhile Moira considers herself to be so intelligent but she constantly belittles her allies. If she was in danger would they rush to help her?
