Ramattra is too gentle

Inteligent individuals don´t use such insults. I think he is suppose to be very inteligent as an AI.

He doesn’t want to stoop down to their level. He wants to be the bigger bot.

Trained as a monk, he cares about his cause (even though it’s misguided), actually welcomes friendly humans (his exchange with Baptiste) and dislikes being called horrible things. Like his exchanges with Echo.

Magneto is a Disney character.

Otherwise give it a few years, disney will eventually buy whatever property has it.

A villain can be gentle. They’re showing that they are sticking to have the moral high ground

His “Put them in the ground!!!” voiceline is pretty hard core…

Marvel character while it’s owned by Disney it isn’t created by them. There is a difference.

While you can argue Marvel might create things under Disney values and such. Most if not all of Magneto was created before the take over.

While I don’t really agree with you about Ram, this entire game is MCU and it’s not subtle about it, while that’s not Disney, it is their property.

May I introduce to you to… Revenant from Apex Legends?

because the game is not M-rated and thusly the character can’t actually say say actually insulting things and what not.

I… Don’t agree. I enjoy having characters that embody that grey area of being a Magbast (Look up OSP, fun watch).

Absolutely.

How about… Meatbag
If you know, you know

Did you see the recent Invasion Trailer with him leading an invasion against 3 major cities with the stated goal of human genocide? :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Given Blizzard’s own history with discrimination, that nuance would be a tall order. But I do tire of these storylines because not only do they serve an agenda but they ironically make peoples’ lives harder.

MCU is the worst offender. Minorities take direct action against a brutal system and to make the audience hate them, they kick a puppy, meanwhile the status quo remains. The heroes has accomplished nothing. Like, the tired you have to be Barney in the face of oppression and violence

I hate this is where OW 2 is going with the PVE missions when Talon’s more interesting. I wanna see more GI Joe like stuff.

But Reaper calling Winston “monkey”; Sombra calling Hammond “pest / giant rat” somehow are okay.

If only the same rules could be enforced on the people who play the game LOL

Nah. He’s perfect. He doesn’t need to be calling people names to be an effective villain.

I agree with you on how it’s annoying that any time a minority threatens the status quo without complying to said status quo, they have to kick a puppy to hammer in a harmful message of “that’s BAD you can’t DO that you HAVE to obey the law”. That being said, I think Ramattra as a character wouldn’t be the type to sling anti-human vulgarities. Sure, he does use the term “human” in a very disparaging tone, but the way I see it he carries himself too highly to say something nasty, or lower than that - in fact, you could argue that “human” IS the lowest thing Rammatra could say.
I also interpret him as considering discrimination a human trait, whereas unity would be an omnic trait. To that end, it would be uncouth of him to discriminate humans, reflected in his interaction with Baptiste - he’s welcoming of Baptiste’s help, even though he is human.

He’s written as a bad guy, but that doesn’t mean he’s a bad bad guy.

I have someone else in mind for that role, and they’re not from Overwatch.

the words monkey, rat, and pest aren’t exactly bad words.

“You are bad guy but that does not mean you are bad guy.”
