QP: 8 min queue for 5 min games

It is not like open q is gone or anything.

yeah but the MAIN game-mode on the cover of their live-service takes bribes to work. And most of the time you can’t even cash-in those bribes.

Bribes !!??
For 2/3 the roles !!??

Can you even imagine being responsible for that?
Still insane queues and toxic low quality matches.
Zero things fixed. Everything made worse.
No data to defend/support. Just a total whim.

Where are the resignations?
They had 1 job.

If you don’t personally consider them as valid, then that’s fine… Do you have any valid evidence to support the claims you originally made?

If a system not adapting to an extent to how the majority of the player base already plays is an automatic indication of the system’s failure in your mind, then sure… Go ahead.

It was no failure though, nor a mismatch. It was all calculated from the beginning and the player base was warned if the collateral damage.

Also, I think you mean “DPS” masses and needless to say, they aren’t the only ones that matter. The experiences of the other half of the player base (Tanks + Supports) aren’t going to be sacrificed so that the DPS can have their way.

They aren’t though, which is just another indication of how baseless your claim is.

And who can forget about RQ returning in OW2 and beyond as the official game mode, all the while it’s officially stated that OQ, which should be soooo popular due to the DPS supposedly flocking to it, may not be returning at all for the next installment.

Bribes. Queue times. Evidence of failed game mode with supply/demand mismatch.

That’s ez layoffs.

They failed us.

Bribes are a failure and a mismatch.

If bribes and queues exist = you are wrong.

Baseless claim? The game mode takes bribes. Not only is it bribed but the bribes are fake. We can’t even cash in our bribes, and 2/3 the roles are autopilot for those fake bribes.

WE CANT EVEN PLAY !??

It’s a failure and the people who failed us need to go. Like I mean hard-go. Like never show up in this industry ever again kind of go. To think we would take bribes for some forced nonsense. 100% never touch a live-service decision ever again.

It’s a no brainer. They failed the players. There is no evidence to show anything worked at all. Stop defending bribed garbage. Stop the paychecks. And move on.

People defending a bribed system = lmaoooo

This is gaming and they need to not work in gaming.

Sounds like a DPS problem to me. And again, this is what DPS mains wanted. Before role queue, it was full threads like “I’m okay with longer queue if it means having balanced team”, well, you got that.

But that’s exactly what DPS one-tricks wanted. Now they guaranteed two supports and two tanks, one of each played a flexing DPS main or just picking the roles for a fast queue, so they can just play damage either way.

I just liked being able to switch off of one role to another if the game required it to win. Not being able to switch with someone who’s playing tank kinda sucks.

Open queue comp fine, but qpc doesn’t have MMR enforced at all so its a clown fest if you even wanna bother. Role queue is a mistake.

It impressively fast and stable when alt-tabbing.

Not uncommon unfortunately.

Well, if the OPC player base is so small that the matchmaking suffers, then maybe not having Role Q from the very beginning was the mistake?

Your favorite mode suffering from other people not wanting to play it is unfortunate, but based on this saying that the implementation of the mode people have switched to was a mistake seems to be a rather selfish view on the matter

I fail to see how it’s selfish. All the people who screamed actual murder for Role Queue to be implemented are the selfish ones. Once upon a time ago, you could actually play this game casually and for fun. Then they took that away. It’d be fine if QPC was in the QP card similar to how Open Queue is in the comp card. But Nah, no sensibility in any of it.

Polls and stats from 3 years ago you mean?

No matter how many times you repeat this, it’s not gonna become any less wrong.

The devs knew exactly what they were doing. They said from the very beginning that RQ would result in higher queue times and warned us about this side effect.

Yep. If RQ was a failure like you’re claiming, do you think it would still be in the game? Do you think it would return in OW2?

Are investors money - hungry corpses or are willing to sacrifice an entire billion - dollar franchise for who knows what reason (no RQ hater has ever explained) by keeping the supposedly “failed” RQ game mode in the game?

You guys need to decide.

Objectively wrong. You press the queue button and you’ll find a match eventually.

Outside of the usage stats showing RQ as the most played game mode, all community polls showing the majority, if not grand majority enjoying RQ and the fact that it’s remained in the game for so long and will continue to in OW2 and beyond, yeah… There’s no indication.

On the other hand, you have zero evidence to support that it is a failure. What you have is an argument that it failed because a side effect the devs considered, implemented changes to improve and warned us about before RQ even came out, actually turned out to be true. That’s it.

The stats are from RQ’s release, but you can find polls from a few months ago.

They’re not perfect by any means, but, is there any other piece of evidence with higher validity that exists that supports the opposite conclusion? If there is, I haven’t seen it.

It doesn’t? How do you know?

Second time you repeat this without providing a single argument whatsoever.

PC I guess?
Today I played 6 ot 7 dps games. All of them were less than 2 minutes in queue and just 1 was a backfill.

Idk, crossplay makes OW very cool in console

Open queue is still an option though. Quick play classic needs to be moved out of the arcade though…

I don’t need to “provide an argument”. Look at how dwindled the player base is now. The only reason people quit was because they couldn’t log in and hit play like any other normal and typical pvp game. It isn’t hard to comprehend this much really. It’s obvious and evident because people make up fake things like “peak hours” and try to use that as an excuse. Well, the reality here is that every competitor ever literally has no such thing as “peak hours”. You log in, you can play any time of the day 24/7, 365 days a year.

And I know people want to sit here and blame it on “lack of content” and “lack of new heroes and maps”. But that stuff is not necessary even if I want it to. A great game can thrive without.

But they can.

Also the fact that DPS Q times are still high is the best proof you can get that people do not quit the game en masse because of it.

Otherwise the Q times should go down :woman_shrugging:

why? everyone knows its there

I’m sure it would remind people that it is an option. If it were not hidden in arcade then it may gain more players and q times might be better. It also just makes sense. Idk why they did qpc differently then they did open q.
