It’s the only thing holding Mercy back. Without Rez, she could have an actual ultimate and impactful healing. Resurrect is hated by those who don’t like Mercy and it’s frustrating to play against as well as to use. With removing it, Blizzard would do everyone a favor.

Honestly yeah. Mercy went downhill the second they put rez on e and have been nerfing around it ever since while refusing to really look at rez as the issue. And it will always be extremely powerful no matter the restrictions you put on it (ie the slow cast time, reduced movement speed, etc) because if you can callout you’re doing a rez a teammate can just bubble or shield you.
I’d personally be fine with removing it, or at least restricting it to only being able to use it during an ult

I have no problem with rez on E personally. Up until the recent -10hps Mercy’s base kit only improved with the GA changes. I’m still not sure if I feel the -10hps was necessary.

Agreed. It is a fun ability, but really doesn’t belong in an FPS like overwatch. Super finicky to balance a pesudo character advantage when it isn’t tied to some sort of skill-test.

tbh i have nothing against rez (from both perspectives) i wouldnt like it taken out from her because its like removing torb’s turret or rein’s shield like i said before, it could get tweaks but not a removal

You see, I could be on board with that idea, but Mercy’s whole design has been around resurrect. That’s why it wasn’t scraped when they removed mass rez. It’s the reason she exists.

The game has changed over time. Other FPS do have rez mechanics and it works in those games, not OW.
Sym originally has a 25 health shield on her e. Should that make a comeback because the game CAME with it?
Should zen go back to 150 hp because that is how the game was?
Widow should go back to 150 dmg bodyshots because this isn’t your average FPS game, the game CAME with that.

If a mechanic is continuously showing to be a problem, it makes so much more sense to just remove it and add something else to compensate.

The only problem with the mechanic is the fact that the devs decided to move it from an ULTIMATE to a REGULAR ABILITY
and guess what? ultimates arent meant to be regular abilities.
Resurrect should NEVER ever BE a normal ability
all they have to do is put it on ult, and thats it we pretty much fixed the hero

Rez was trash tier balance wize on ult until they gave it a slight buff, making is extremely overpowered. The thing was so strong that players would quite literally hide in spawn as fights started instead of playing the videogame. It has been a problem holding mercy back since the games release with it either being too bad, too good, or incredibly frustrating to play and fight against.
Removing it is easier and allows for more depth to be added to Mercy in terms of buffs and new abilities.

How would you hide in spawn as the battle started…what do you get the rez all the way from the spawn to the point?
hide and rez is a farse only newbbie mercies did,

if mercy hides, the team gets wiped since its a 5v6, she rezes them all
cool dude now its a normal 6v6 battle,
What did you archieve with that? Nothing, you wasted your ult just to reset a fight you PRUPOSELY LOST
Or you can, you know, heal the team, then, mid battle, as some of your team gets picked…
turning something like a 4v4 into a 6v4 and actually make it useful
hide and rez or whathever your talking about is a redundant strategy that did not get anything done at all
with that logic, Lets nerf swift strike since some genjis use it to rush in and die, and its frustrating that my genji just dies alone
lets delete the turret since some noob torbs just hammer the turret over and over again and its frustrating because i cant kill the turret

i kinda hate love mass rez cuz it has its bad parts about it but also good ones. unless they plan to get it back with decent counter to it and tweaks, id be okay with it. id also be okay with a reworked ult or maybe even removing rez and giving her a new well made ult

or you can try to read the many tons and tons of creative suggestions that gave mass rez a decent counter 
which were, you know, ignored but hey we got this mercy, they just need to rework her a bit and hopefully in a good way and then boom a good mercy.
